Sonic Drive-In — Restaurant in Anniston

I'm not sure what has happened in the past year but I've never had issues with sonics til last September. Between this location and the Noble location we've been having issues with not only our orders but proportion sizes as well. Today I waited 25 minutes for my order to be ready (I even ordered ahead in the app) so an additional 10 minutes totaling 30 minutes? I understand there's a lot of new people which I can be considerate but when the manager/shift leader handed me an extremely melted slush and no reply when I said it was melted is a bit embarrassing for that store. This is how I recieved my drink and did not offer to fix it. I always give places a 3 strikes and you're out. So with this being the 3rd I won't be going to any sonic location near Anniston or Oxford. As for the rest of my meal due to how long it took, it was cold and wasteful. The groovy fries that are a dollar on the app now, I understand why they're a dollar because if they were more I would be disappointed because they're unedible and nothing but fried small crisps. I hope others have a better experience and best of luck but if you're looking for a quick place to stop and actually want to feel good about what you recieve and eat, I'd suggest...

Updated.... READ ALL!!!! have used this Sonic many many times and I've hardly ever been dissatisfied with the level of service I've received from this establishment. A couple of time it took a little longer than normal to get my food, but that was only because they were full of people. I'll give them a pass for that reason. The food is always prepared to my liking and has always been exactly as I asked for it to be. Never has anything come to me that was cold or cool. All the food is fresh and hot. I came to get my girl a limeade and a drink for my son. I arrived, hit the button.... Nothing happened... I wait 3 minutes and NOTHING... I hit the button again and still... NOTHING. So after sitting there almost 6 minutes watching 3 to 4 girls walking around with headsets and others in the building with headsets, I chose to leave. I will not be back to this Sonic ever again. Mostly the food as well the service is good and the staff their nice and polite Overall, Experience is good I just don’t understand why do some of the servers or from what I was told by someone “car hop” server people that bring out the food expect a tip. I will tip and I try to tip well if I’m going out for lunch or dinner and sitting down being served, I don’t know if they are preparing the food but I’m sure they have cooks for that because they only bring the order. I went to a sonic a couple days ago and I paid for my order and I was supposed to get change back and the young lady seem a bit bothered that I wanted my change which was almost $10 I told her yes ma’am I will like my change back, she then said “oh I will have to go and get your change” I thought they carried the money around their waist, I think for future reference, sonic should make it clear that customers are not obligated nor required to give the people bringing out the food tips.
