Came in with two of my employees, I don’t know if it was because we were all Spanish but our waitress was just not all there when treating us. We have come various times never had treatment like we did today. We went on lunch hours,( our waitress short blonde her name is Bella R) was rushing to take our order which I can understand they were short staff but when you rush taking people orders it is easier to mess up the order or not fully understand which can become annoying for the staff and for the customer. We order hot water but I explained I just wanted hot sweet tea since I speak two languages and it tends to be hard to understand. She still proceeded to get cold water we explained she misunderstood us, she went and still proceeded to get us hot water because of this she burn herself proceeded to make us feel bad for her. After that they charged us for 3 Ranches which was ridiculous, all the times I have came before they never charged us . She could also explain the client it would be a charge you are delivering customer service and this wasn’t it. On top of that they changed their swiping card system now you get a surcharge and she did not mentioned it either. In the past months I have come to eat with my employees never have I been charge for extra sauce or a surcharge. My employees and I felt targeted by the waitress she was gossiping to other waitresses in front of us about us. She even went to who I am guessing the manager with the yellow bright shorts giving us the dirty look what a man trying to intimidate by staring us up and down. It did not stop there the cooks were coming out to look at us smirk and whisper within themselves. Never have I ever felt disgusted with a place in my life until now. My employees are always ordering from this place I have sent a message to the company to stop giving business to a place that shows racism and inappropriate behavior on top of lack of professionalism and customer service. We still tipped her to show...
Read moreNew review: I am updating my original post (you can see it below.) Last night my family went back for one last time to the location in Apex before we gave up on it and only went to the Cary location. We were promptly greeted and seated with smiles, then within a minute our server was over to our table (wish I could remember his name as he was really attentive and great overall,) anyway, he took our drink orders and got them promptly to us, then took our orders. The food came out as usual in due time, but the entire order was correct and cooked to perfection as we had asked our burgers to be done (medium & medium rare.) No cold fries this time, no inaccuracies, no having to fined anyone, nothing... HUGE Turnaround, and has given us a reason to return to this location right now. I only gave it 4 out of 5 as I want another stellar visit (and if We get this one male waiter, I am sure we will.) Again, Stellar time there and we will return!
Original post from over a year ago: I really hoped to like this location. We have had such a great experience at the Cary location, that when they opened up the location in Apex we jumped at the chance to eat much closer to home! However, our experience was not a pleasant first impression. We were ok with the 15/20 wait for a table on a Tuesday night... seeing it's a new place and how good the original location is. When we sat down someone promptly took our orders, but then it was at least 50 minutes to get our food, and it took almost 35 for someone to talk to us (and we had to request it.) When our food finally did come the burgers were excellent, but the fries were almost cold and some looked to be undercooked. We really hope that if we give this location a couple months it might be better, but for now we aren't going to be returning to the Apex Location, we will have to make the trek to Cary for our good...
Read moreOkay place. Loud, but that's to be expected since it's a pub/tavern. That being said, the noise did seem somewhat excessive since we were there at dinnertime and most of the customers were there for a meal and not for the bar. We had to almost yell to hear one another.
After being seated for about 20 minutes, and just when we'd received our food, we were told the band had arrived 2 hours before their show and needed to set up, and our table was where they played. So, off we went, being moved to another table on the other side of the restaurant, having to carry our food, drinks, everything. While the hostess was apologetic and mentioned something about "comping" something (to be honest we couldn't hear because the place was so loud), by the time we left the hostess had left and whoever had suggested our meal (or some part of it) be covered wasn't there either. The end result was 10% off, which while a gesture, didn't seem sufficient for the inconvenience.
Moving on to the food, I was unimpressed. The portion size was excellent, you certainly got plenty for your money. The fries were okay, but devoid of flavor. The worst item I had was the mozzarella cheese sticks. While I appreciate the homemade element the pub is attempting, the mozzarella was wrapped in cornmeal breading which was frankly a terrible combination. I've had battered and breaded mozzarella, but I've never encountered a cornmeal based coating. The result was almost like a corndog with mozzarella substituted for the hot dog. What was particularly annoying to me about the cheese sticks was that there was no indication on the menu that they were anything but normal cheese sticks and I can't imagine anyone would expect cornmeal breading when ordering cheese sticks. Overall, not a place I would be likely to...
