Sheetz — Restaurant in Apex

I have been here multiple times as a door dasher to pick up food. the most recent time was the WORST experience i’ve had at a sheetz ever. i went in to pick up a doordash order which was not ready upon arrival. i asked one of the employees (kate or katie) about my order and she said to give her 5 minutes. She then turns around and continues to talk to other employees and customers about her personal life and was also flirting with customers. after waiting about 12 minutes i finally asked another employee about my order and she went and got it right away while kate was still just talking. the other employee handed my order to kate to give to me and she didnt even ID me for the wine. the next time i went in (same day) to pick up a couple more orders kate was also assigned to complete the orders and again was conversing with other employees and customers about her personal life. i waited about 20 minutes for these orders to be completed while she argued with and talked to other employees...

I probably should've wrote a review for this place a long time ago. It is the last patch of civilization on my late night treks from Raleigh to Sanford. The store is always immaculate along with the rest room and the staff is always pleasant and helpful. And, last nights experience was even better!! When I arrived the food counter was full...people waiting and people still putting in orders so I knew it would be a wait but it was not what I expected!! The staff was working hard and constantly putting out orders and they knocked that line down faster than I could imagine. In the midst my drink was over looked and as soon as they noticed they got right on it and in an attempt to rectify it offered me a free donut but I wasn't upset because again this team worked together like a well oiled machine to meet the customers needs & truly appreciated that! I wish I had names to drop but it was 2 guys and a girl. ...

A nicely-kept Sheetz, clean and nothing was noticeably out of stock or out-of-order during my visits. However, I was accused of shoplifting on two separate visits by a female manager for making purchases through SheetzGo (a scan and go self checkout functionality in the company's app), yelling, "You have to pay for that!" or something similar. Explaining that I did so through the app got a thinly-veiled sneer on the latest visit. I hope Sheetz takes the opportunity to address the shortcomings listed here in the reviews; it certainly sounds like there may be other issues with the management of this particular store; I've never had that sort of interaction at any other Sheetz in the region. I generally enjoy my visits to Sheetz stores, but this location is a profound disappointment. I suppose beauty really can be only skin deep for a gas...
