I am not sure how this place has such great reviews. I went in for an appointment at 5pm (granted I was 5 minutes late so that's on me), but I got a simple dip service and did not end up leaving after 7pm. It took over 35 min just to get my previous polish off. Then the guy who was doing my nails just kept adding layers of things. My nails are so thick and there is a visible separation of nail and color where there is too much base applied. I kept telling them it was too thick, and I think he was using the wrong size drill because he would take the slimmest of layers off each time. Then someone else came over to take over (I know she was doing her best to help but I think the only thing that could have made this better was starting from scratch). After about 5 times of telling them it was took thick, I gave up since I had been there for so long. Then the top layer is gel, and it dried covered in bumps and bubbles. Now a few days later my nails are starting to hurt? I have gotten my nails done at least once a week for over 6 years, so I know how it should look and feel and this is not it. Also, I am pretty sure they gave me the wrong color. It turned out more of a sparkly poop brown than the nice deep red shimmer I picked out. I am glad others have had a good experience, and maybe it was just an off day or the guy doing my nails was new, but I am highly...
Read moreI gifted my fiancé a mani (dip powder) and lip wax , pedi that together cost a total of $111 and that is not including the tip to be exact. Her and I will never mind paying for quality but this dip powder to my understanding would last about 2 to 3 weeks, witch is why she wanted it. However in less then a week the dip powder just started chipping off. If I pay more then $100 I except quality products used and quality work. She is still in search of a quality nail tech and will not be going back to glossy nails because of her experience and the complete waste of money! However I will say the lip waxing and pedi was not bad. She did love the hand renewing therapy after the mani as well. I will have to also agree with the other review about them speaking their language after customer asking for something specific, not that other languages bother me because I speak a language other then English my self, it’s just it’s plain rude right after a customer asked you something because it makes them feel your complaining about what they just asked you to provide which they will add a charge to and you will be paying for. She just will NOT be going back for the dip powder as she didn’t find the product they used or work they did was quality again as it chipped in a...
Read moreWould give zero stars if I could. Been here about three times and paid for me, my wife and son for manicures and pedicures because they are close to the house. Wife’s birthday was coming up so I went there and mentioned that I wanted a gift card and asked if they could look up my wife’s name and let me know what her most common service was so that I could buy a gift card for that service. I believe it was the owner and she said NO! I wasn’t asking for her SSN or address just what she liked. I ended up guessing and bought a gift certificate. My wife says that the owner is not friendly and very snippy in person and on the phone. I didn’t even tell her what had happened to me until this. The new owner is horrible. We found another nail salon Nail Tek which is the same distance and by FAR better treatment. Found them when Glossy Nails was booked. Nail Tek pampers WAY more than Glossy and the owners were extremely nice! It was raining and the owner/husband waiting until I pulled up close and used their umbrella to walk my wife to the car and did the same for others. We will definitely be back and they offer a lot more services and we were extremely pleased with the services for manicures...
