The Establishment was clean and the employees appear to be very friendly. I had not had breakfast and was now hungry after traveling more than 100 miles away from home to do a bit of shopping. Now I'm hungry and looking for a place to go so Bojangles was it for me. I had been wanting a Bojangles biscuit for quite a while and took the opportunity to go in and make a purchase. I said to the cashier I'm not doing meat because my cholesterol had been High and I had suffered a mild stroke the past October. In saying that I ordered mashed potatoes and gravy and a biscuit because I brought in my water as choice of Beverage. I peered in the area of the mashed potatoes as the employee was now plating it and asked if what I was seeing in the gravy was meat . The employee said yes. So I opted to get another side order as the beans was suggested. So I ordered the the beans and the two biscuits and went to have my meal. As I ate two spoons of the beans I discovered there were little chunks of meat in it. I did not continue to eat the beans. I returned to the counter to ask if I could pay the difference and get 2 biscuits in place of the beans. The cashier then said to me what I was looking at was not meat but in fact the red peppers. I showed him the difference between a dice of red pepper, meat and the bean. He proceeded to tell me and the other person in charge came to say there's no meat in the beans. I showed that person also little chunks of meat that is in the beans I suppose as flavoring. Nevertheless the second person that spoke with me said to the cashier just give her the two biscuits and that cashier said why. I was disappointed because I did offer to pay the difference for the two pieces of bread. Normally I would enjoy any of the foods that Bojangles offer but I had made a promise to one of my daughters that I would go the month of January without eating meat as a basis of lowering my cholesterol. I maintained that promise thus far in an effort to at least put my daughter at comfort that her 64 year-old mother was doing what she needed to do in an effort to do better health wise. I only had issue with that particular cashier who seem to have some form of partnership with the establishment and not a concern to make his customer happy. I was disappointed in the individual which is the only interaction that a customer has with any...
Read moreI have only written 2 reviews over the past 5 years!! However, I stopped by the Bojangles drive thru last night approximately 7:45 pm 1 car in front of me. Slow service asked to pull forward to wait for my order after 15 minutes. There was another Bojangles staff that I could see from the drive thru windows that was shaking his head when he seen me still there 20 minutes wait (biscuit, fries and a tea). Today, I went through the drive thru at 3:40 pm 5 cars ahead of me in line. I finally turned my engine off at 4:00 pm in line/no movement of the 5 cars ahead!!! And I looked behind me for a car count and there was 8 cars!!! All waiting No One honked their car horns but 3 customers pulled out of the line and left. Finally movement 5 cars ahead… I pulled up to the windows at 4:08 pm and the guy says pull forward to wait on your Bo Cheddar biscuit that I ordered. I said what? He looked at me like I was a bad customer waiting in line since 3:40 pm It’s 4:08 pm and all I said was your kidding right 😂😂😂??? He rolled his eyes at me a High School Student yes lady pull forward they will bring your biscuit to you. Never … I am sorry for the long wait, your patience or anything! After coming home I decided to write a review. It’s saying a lot about Bojangles customer service and services, why? I never go to McDonald’s except for the occasional iced coffee. Today, I went to McDonald’s a nightmare. I got through the drive thru in 5 minutes total order, pay and pick up.
P.S. In the past when I went one time an older black woman was fabulous, lovely personality with Awesome customer service skills! Today the younger generation has no customer service skills, respect for anyone except themselves, lazy...
Read moreI chose the Apex US-64 location as the basis for this review, but have been to many Raleigh area Bo's over the years including the original Raleigh location on New Bern Avenue back in the day. Yes, I am old and grew up in East Raleigh. On the staff along with cleanliness and atmosphere, the two go hand in hand. Poor staff and there will be problems in those areas. On the food, the corporate chefs and test kitchen seems to be on top of things, but when local franchisees try to cut corners it shows. For me, the thing that has to be good is the biscuit. If you go to a new Bojangles location, the biscuits are not as good as another location that has been in business for years. I think it comes down to the pans used for baking the biscuits needing more surface treatment after years of use which results in a more moist biscuit on the bottom. On the chicken, visiting a Bojangles during off peak times often times results in getting some over the time limit chicken. On cutting corners, this tends to show with the taste of the chicken exhibiting some old fry grease flavors or biscuits being rolled and baked before the mixing was complete and inconsistent biscuit sizes. All that said, I really like Bojangles and consider it a comfort food fix. Another reviewer commented on the drive-thru and I agree and quit using the drive-thru years ago. I usually sit where I can see the drive-thru customers pull up and wait for something and I am usually finished eating before their food comes out, but I have also been in a line that's so cramped between the register and food pickup that Dr. Mandy Cohen would call it a super...
