Five Guys — Restaurant in Apex

Where do I even begin? The first time I ate here everything was fine. That was at least a year ago. About a month ago I came here with my family and they screwed up our order very bad and had to remake it causing us to wait over 30 minutes for an order that was supposed to be ready when we arrived. We were given 3 $10 gift cards for this incident by the manager who was on duty that day and today we went to redeem them. 1. They were not activated so we were looked at as being dishonest about how we got them. As if we had stolen the cards. 2. The order was wrong. Very wrong. No toppings on either burger. Both were little cheeseburgers, we ordered a big cheeseburger and a little hamburger. I believe this was intentional. They thought we were thieves who stole gift cards and used them to get free food so why would we want the toppings we requested? Why would we say anything about it? We will never ever ever ever spend a dime at this location again. If this is a franchise, we will not give the owners any of our money at any other business...

Was a little sketchy to go here at first by looks of outside parking lot (shared btw). Once inside it was great. Place was clean, good lighting, and smelt amazing. Love the smell of cooking burgers. Service was great easy to order. Felt very welcoming. Wait for my food was Short 10 minutes max. While waiting I heard the manager telling the employees to take yall Time don't rush nothing. An boy do they listen my burger was amazing gotta cheeseburger lettuce onion tomato ketchup an small fry. Fries were perfect. I swear you don't know hard it is now a days to get a good salty fry naa not here there on there A game perfect saltiness to my taste which is on the salty side. All around good place good people good...

Five Guys is easily my favorite burger chain. I don't even know how many different locations I've been to (at least dozens, to include the original locations; I travel) and they always deliver a quality burger experience. On this occasion the fries were especially good, a testament to the skill of the guy working the station. The only reason for the lost star is that they had a soda machine out of order and were out of sauce cups, but did not make customers aware. I heard at least four people ask if there were more (after I had asked myself). Those facts made this one of my worst experiences at a Five Guys, which I think says...
