Just terrible, I got Romeos pizza once. I thought it was ok, however my kids really enjoyed it. I later received a coupon in the mail and thought I would treat my children to a pizza dinner. I logged on to the website to place my order. One pizza with only a few toppings came out to be over 32 dollars!! I entered my coupon and was given a error message telling me it was not valid, I checked the coupon to make sure it had not expired and re-entered the code several times. It didn't work. I had already told my kids I was ordering pizza so there was no turning back now. I entered my credit card and placed the order. My delivery time was estimated between 30-35 minutes. After 45 minutes I began to get impatience, I called to confirm my order had been placed and was told it was on the way and would be here in 5 minutes. Over 10 minutes later I called back and was told the same thing. Finally 1 hour and 15 minutes after I placed my order the delivery guy pulls in and sits in his car for 5 minutes looking at his phone before getting out and coming to my door. when I open the door he says "that will be 16 dollars and something cents". I gave him a shocked look and then he says "oh yea you already paid" (Yea I had paid twice that online). I took the pizza and was given a nasty look by the driver who had expected a tip. when I opened the pizza it seemed to be cold and old. I later looked at their online menu and rechecked the math and confirmed I was overcharged. This was by far the worst pizza experience I have ever had in my entire life!! There are many great pizza places in Apex and would recommend any of them...
Read moreGreat family owned place with amazing owners BUT ... honestly, so so food. The taste is good. However, the cost seems too high for the portions of food. Their sweet pizza sauce is a bit too sweet (my opinion) and their subs, unfortunately, do not match the pictures on their site. The subs are smaller and thinner (not as much meats). Granted I am coming from a lifetime of NY lifestyle where the Italian pizzerias made giant meatballs and poured the cheese and sauce on like it meant something to them but still... I'm not sure where they source their meatballs or if they are made in-house but the consistency is that of meatballs you would find in the frozen section of the supermarket and just as small. The taste of the food overall is great but I would recommend larger portions for the price and have a fresh look at the sweet sauce. The bread of the subs seemed to be great tasting and fresh and the pizza dough as well. I will like to revisit in a few months to see if they considered anything I've stated here. I suggest everyone give it a try at least once to see if their style suits your taste and expectations. I'm interested in their buffalo chicken sub... but for...
Read moreI wanted to add to my review. I ordered from Romeo's again, this time as a delivery through Uber Eats. Uber delivered the wrong food and I couldn't get ahold of their customer service, so I called Romeo's directly and spoke to Steven. He made me the correct pizza and delivered it himself (even though I ordered through Uber). He didn't charge me anything for the delivery or the new pizza, and he was at my door with a HOT & FRESH pizza within 10 minutes of getting off the phone. Also, it was a margarita pizza and it was DELICIOUS! The mistake pizza was really good too even though I don't really like sausage.
Thank you Steven and everyone else at Romeo's Pizza!
P.S. To Romeo's: I know you are a smaller business, and smaller businesses are struggling hard with the pandemic. I really hope you guys make it through. To potential customers: Romeo's prices are comparable to the big pizza chains, but their food is way better and so is their customer service. If you are trying to decide if you should order pizza from them, the...
