Health Hazard at this location - warning.
Let me first start off saying that my family and I love Marco's pizza and order it at least twice a month. We have frequently ordered out and dined in at this location.
Today, I took my kids to have lunch there and ordered fountain drinks. Normally, you just add the ice to your cup and choose your drink, but today I looked inside my cup before I put the drink in. Some of the ice had black items inside it. I looked at it closer and these items were inside the ice. I dumped the cup of ice thinking it was a fluke, and twice more dumped out the cup because there were black items in the ice. That is a clear indication that the ice machine has not been cleaned and this could cause sickness in the guests that use the ice.
I very nicely and quietly told the girl behind the counter what we found and I asked that she check into this to get the machine cleaned and to at least put a note out on the machine, so no one further uses the ice. The restaurant was pretty busy during this time.
I watched her tell the man she was working with and he went and got a whole cup of ice to check. Neither one of them seemed alarmed and kept right on working and making pizzas and I sat there and finished our lunch with no one putting a note on the ice machine to not use it.
While the pizza was good today, I drank my drink without ice and was a bit grossed out at the lack of cleanliness of this place. I looked around further and it had serious dust underneath the drink counters and I saw garbarge that had probably been there for awhile, as they are not sweeping or washing this area.
I hope that they get the ice machine cleaned and take a look around a bit more to clean what is quite dirty. I will not be going back to this location until I get confirmation that the machine has been cleaned. This is a...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThe woman working the drive through was very nice, but the restaurant seemed very disorganized, and as a result, she was overwhelmed. For a line that is 10 people deep, it should at least be divided into Already Ordered and Need to Order. Also, the Already Ordered line should be based on time order is due/ready for pickup, so you don't have someone who just ordered and is being impatient holding up hot food that needs to be paid for/picked up.
My order was quoted to be ready at 5:45. I got to the outside pickup line at 5:35, with nobody in it, but waited out of line until 5:45. Then I got in line, at this point, 3 cars deep. I waited for 30 MINUTES with 2 screaming kids in the car behind these people. If their order was not ready yet, send their impatient selves to a parking space, or around the building. I would have gotten out of my truck to go inside, but the kids mentioned before are small and hard to get in and out of the car with a bunch of pizzas, etc. (The situation didn't look that much better anyway).
I will stress that the woman at the front, Erica, was VERY nice, but she needed 2 things: a system and some help. That's a management misstep. No matter how good the food is (it was regular togo pizza; nothing too special), it's not worth waiting 30 minutes past the time you were told to be there.

When I went to pickup there was no icing for cinnamon and I mentioned that those cinnamon without the icing are no good and asked the guy for a refund. He reply "you dont have to be a baby about it" then said because its part of a promotion it cant be refunded and as he was throwing them on top of the other boxes he says, you can have them. Like I had a choice.... I decided to take the food and walk away, but he being an intelligent being thought it would be a good idea to call me a child as I was walking out... when I asked for a manager he said he was the manager. Needless to say I asked for a full refund and left the food there. I have been a loyal customer of this location...
