Luna Donut — Restaurant in Apple Valley

Cozy, clean, friendly, and welcoming as I walked in. They offer a very small area for people wants to enjoy their doughnuts/drinks there. Doughnuts are soft, fluffy, chewy, perfectly sweet for us. Crisp in the outside and extremely soft in the inside Apple fritter offer small pieces of apple in every bite. Mild sweet with double layer berries jam filling doughnut was a total surprise was in point . Maple syrup , chocolate w/ sprinkle, m&m doughnuts were my little one’s favorites. Cake doughnut was great with great amount of chocolate glaze and soft. Special doughnut with crispy crunch was the bomb, crispy crunchy on the outside with soft on the inside was great. I was very excited to try the donuts when i heard they were open. So i got a chance to stop in this morning, order half a dozen to try. I got there a little before 8 a.m. there were not too many options available. Order a regular glazed, glaze twist, chocolate twist, chocolate with walnuts, cinnamon bun/roll, and apple fritter. The applefritter was a good size but lacked apple flavor, and it didn't have many apple pieces in it either. Hyvee apple fritter is still the best. The twist and the raised were decent size, but they were heavy and dense, and kind of dry, i prefer lighter and fluffy. The cinnamon roll was the best out of all, It was a good size, but i would have like more cinnamon. At $18 bucks for half a dozen, i can't justify the price for the quality and taste,...

My husband and I had the opportunity to try Luna Donut twice last weekend (2nd time - their competitor, Donut Star, sadly ran out of donuts right before noon on Sunday), we were delighted!

Husband said the Apple fritter was the best he’s had - slightly crispy, crunchy on the outside and slightly moist and chewy inside. I really enjoyed the iced chocolate whipped cream Bismark (my favorite) along with the Bavarian one. Tried a vanilla iced sprinkle and chocolate iced sprinkle donut as well and that had the right amount of moisture and sweetness as well.
