My daughters and I went to whisk an arrow yesterday and we were greeted so pleasantly, which was amazing as it was our first time. Our main reason for stopping was for macarons as my daughter and I absolutely love them. We have tried many different ones. And per the reviews, we were excited to try whisk an arrow. So we picked out eighteen of them along with a piece of the Chocolate strawberry hazelnut cake and a piece of the lemon meringue tart. As it was our first time in, we were given a free one to try and they were very good and firm. I spent 67.90 plus a 5.00 tip. When we got to the car, we each tried another one. And they were not as firm, the inside tasted like butter, almost like melted. So we thought maybe it was just that type of macaron. So then we got home and we tried the rest, and there was quite a few that were like that, which was not appealing. They were absolutely disgusting, actually, we've never had any macarons taste like this. The inside tasted absolutely like whipped butter, it was not good. Out of the eighteen four were regular firm, but the rest was not which was very disappointing at 3.00 a piece. Then we tried the cake as well as my husband. And again all you tasted was butter for some reason even eating it with the cake in a regular bite, it was not good and the cake was very dry, which was very disappointing. We decided to go to whisk an arrow for the reviews, and we love trying new dessert places and then it ended up not being a good experience. We're very...
Read moreTerrible service. There is no communication between the owner, her employees, and valuable customers. The employees don’t know the specifications on what is done and isn’t done for baked items on the menu, which leads to confusion. We placed an order for a cake for a gender reveal and was told something completely different then what was given to us. Calling them back when the cake had been cut telling them this isn’t what we ordered and the fruit inside most of the people at the party were allergic to so the cake was left half eaten. Both Hannah and the owner Nai Ignore customers when a problem occurs, and from the start wasn’t emphatic, very snarky, and rude, wouldn’t let customers speak as it’s their way or the highway.
At first I was looking to be compensated for my next purchase as I understand stuff happens but since the complete inconvenience it’s been over these past few weeks, The neglect and terrible customer service provided for the cake at this point I would like a full refund. The Owner sarcastically asked for the cake to be returned knowing it’s thrown away and the threats to my cousin has shown me that there was never a sense of wanting to make this situation right. At this point all I can do is write a review, I hope this never happens to you. Just order from Manderfields, never had any issues and granted their employees are high schoolers. It’s very unfortunate that they can offer so much more respect and better customer service then an...
Read moreWhisk and Arrow is our go to bakery for special occasion treats! I appreciate the authenticity of owner Nea and how she runs her business with heart as well as brains. She is not only a baker, but an artist. Her team has created beautiful cakes for birthday celebrations and will continue to be part of our family's special days for years to come. Most recently, I had requested some specific things for a cat themed birthday party, and she was very honest and said that my requests were not something that she could comfortably accommodate at a reasonable price point. She offered other options that they would be able to do and she also made recommendations for other small bakeries that may be more suited to create my vision. I respect that she does not take custom orders that would be outside of what the team is capable of producing to the high standards she holds for quality and design. Nea could have easily accepted the job, overcharged me, and delivered sub par treats, but she did the right thing for my party and for her business.
Service in store has always been quick and friendly. Quality of ingredients is evident in everything we have tried so far. (I received one rogue macaron that wasn't the freshest, but the dozens of others have been delicious!) There is a good variety of sweets and savory items each day. Whisk and Arrow is not cheap, but you get what you pay for. It's worth splurging on every once...
