This is a long review but stick around... You'll thank me later. There's a saying that goes something like: "That place really isn't good so what you're paying for is the experience" and I have to say that if ever there were a place that matches this description, it's Bazil's. I can't remember the last time I was so genuinely disappointed by a simple Italian meal. Perhaps you think I'm being harsh, but is it really being harsh if I want an Italian restaurant to serve a decent plate of spaghetti and meatballs... Or anything, for that matter? After you place your order, your meal arrives as separate courses: Bread, salad, soup, and then entree, with each being just as lackluster as the last. The salad was compromised of wilted iceberg lettuce, stringy red onion, poorly sliced deli meat and cheese, and doused with a knockoff Olive Garden vinaigrette. Shortly after, the cup of soup arrived, which was thin and under seasoned. Now, for the spaghetti. This lukewarm plate of pasta placed in front of me was nicely presented but was covered in what I can only assume was last week's sauce. This red tomato concoction had a slightly charred aftertaste and was adorning meatballs which were most definitely pulled out of the back of some freezer in the kitchen and then slapped into a piping hot pan in an attempt to revive them. Believe it or not, I seriously wanted to enjoy my experience here. The building and interior decor are beautiful, the ambiance is warm and quiet, and the service is great. Our lovely server, Sarah also did everything in her power to try and make things right but I'm not sure how she would've been capable of doing an entire menu overhaul in just one night. Save your money and go to Olive Garden... At least there, everyone is family.

I would give this place 5-stars but I'm not quick to hand out five unless the place is absolutely amazing; nevertheless, this #TucsonRestaurant is quite spectacular. It's still family-owned and that's a huge plus for me. They've got a very nice bar, with a recessed floor for the bar keep and tender. Kinda old-school which I like. It's dark and the tables and booths have a mafia vibe to them. Plenty of space for large parties and events with family. We only had their pizza, which comes from the Pizzeria next door. My advice: if you get the #pizza, make sure to order appetizers from the regular kitchen because the pizzas take a pretty long time to get. But when they arrive at your table, they're sooooo tasty. I highly recommend this place.

The ambiance here is one of a kind. It reminds me of this place my mom and I used to go to in the early 90's, and I haven't seen the likes of since. In a good way. The service is smart and attentive. The food is excellent. Nothing I've never seen before, but things I really enjoy eating like steak, fish and pasta. The drinks were well crafted. We had such a nice time, and loved our quiet cacoon so much that we stayed for another round and desert's after we finished our meal, which I haven't done in a while. Today's dining atmosphere has been so fear- driven and tense, it's like airplane travel just after 911. Not here, you can actually relax and enjoy yourself which is one of the best parts of going out in the first place.

This is the absolute worst Italian restaurant in Tucson no wonder it is only rated 3.8 Stars disgusting customer service the owner is one of the most unprofessional business man I have ever encountered I had called in this evening to place it delivery order I spoke to the owner about an order I had gotten last week and it asked them if they could please make sure that my order would have easy marinara sauce on it as I did not like the last order we got that was swimming in marinara sauce after I had ordered lights off he said that he could not control the amount of stuff that he put on it that in his eyes he had put light sauce on it. And that this obviously wasn't the place for me telling me that he could not justify replacing the order not one single time that I asked him to replace the order I simply asked if it would be possible for them to take care of my request for light sauce on the eggplant Parmesan he then informed me that it wasn't even on their menu I said I was not aware of that because the last time I ordered from them I asked them if it was and the girl that took my order said yes ..... I again asked if i ordered easy sauce on my order would it happen and again he said obviously this is not the right place for me. I have never been treated so rudely by an owner of an establishment it is absolutely and truly disappointing and disgusting that is man like this runs a business in this town and people give them their hard-earned money like this. You can guarantee that I will be sharing my experience with everyone I encounter and as well as local review places in Tucson this establishment has lost a...

My Sweetheart and I ate at Bazil's for the first time yesterday evening, recommended by a good friend. The place is beautiful inside with the lighting and each of the lovely stain glass art designs on the lamps and the booth windows were different pictures. The hostess was very nice and welcoming and sat us at a nice booth table. The owner, Mr. Bazil, said hello to us and was very friendly. Every meal on the menu defined a tasty description. All sounded inviting. There's plenty of marinara sauce to go on each dish and was very yummy. I gotta say the best marinara sauce I've ever had at a restaurant. The crab, lobster, shrimp, and clam was devoured by the marinara sauce in a large bowl. Very very good. It's drinkable. Haha. My Love had the peppercorn steak, oh my yum. That was a awesome steak well cooked medium rare. Was soft and chewing. Very juicy and drenched in brown gravy with the mushrooms on top, also drenched in the brown gravy. Excellent experience with the food and the staff. We're definitely going to be dining at Bazil's again, soon. Next time we'll bring our friends. Sharing is caring. Thank you so much for the lovely experience. See ya again soon. Good day...
