HORRIBLE SERVICE. I received abuse from the staff's manager, Scott Michael this evening. I have been a loyal customer of Papa Johns at the San Tan location for almost a couple of years and never have I ever been screamed at by any manager, until this evening. I also tip the drivers generously every single time, without fail. They were very busy and let me know the pizza would arrive in 1.5 hours. After 50 minutes I called to get an ETA. I spoke with Shayla, who stated the driver was en route and would be arriving at my residence in "a couple of minutes." 20 minutes passed an no pizza. After one hour and thirty minutes I dialed again and very politely asked where the pizza was. I was informed the driver was "just now leaving" and my delivery would be "delayed" due to the driver taking an alternate route due to construction on a major road. There IS construction going on but 2 hours is still quite an excessive amount of time to wait for a pizza. I politely asked for a discount due to the inconvenience and long wait when suddenly the store manager Scott Michael jumped on the phone and took control over the conversation I was having with Shayla. Scott began to berate me uncontrollably. His screaming was unabated by my multiple requests for him to stop speaking to me in such a demoralizing manner. This is how I was treated by Scott: " Michelle, you've ordered pizza from us for years and for years you have been demanding and picky and rude to me and my staff. " I responded that that is not true and since Papa John's records customer interactions on the phone for quality control, I can prove that my demeanor was always respectful to the staff. I mentioned to Scott that I am always nice to the staff, to which he retorted," Of course! You're always nice when you want something from us." Once again, I made a verbal request to Scott to cease speaking to me in this manner. I addressed him as sir, but he quickly fired back," Do not call me sir, you know who I am, I will give you my full name, my full name is...
Read moreQuick turn around time is never a problem with this location. BUT! Consistently receive undercooked food (wings and pizza) even when requested for “Well Done”.
Honestly we only order from this company and this specific location as it is the only one in the surrounding delivery grid, but only when they have discounts or coupons because you never expect anything more than subpar and can’t imagine paying more than reasonable for it. Out of six locations throughout Arizona where we have continually ordered and stayed loyal to PJ’s, this is the only location that is purely sub standard.
Now with all of that said, the delivery driver decided on his own volition to inquire about a tip that was not represented on the receipt. Sorry, hate to tell you, but wake up and smell the roses that is Grubhub, Uber and Postmates, that allow you to determine your tip AFTER your food is reviewed and accepted. NOT BEFORE. And come to find, pizza and wings cold, undercooked and just awful. Garden salad is equivalent to a Wendy’s $6 personal salad but yet you pay almost double for this version.
I wouldn’t blame the pathetic rations for the price paid if it wasn’t for the complete audacity for asking for a tip when uncertain if you have even qualified for it!
Go run 7 orders from 7 different restaurants in under an hour and come ask me again about your tip!
DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND ORDER FROM BARRO’S! You at least get large portions for how much you...
Read moreDO NOT ORDER YOUR PIZZA FROM THESE PEOPLE! !! Let me explain... on feb 9th we ordered three pizzas. When they arrived it was two random pizzas, neither one of what we had ordered. When we called to tell them our pizzas were wrong, they explained that another customer had already called and our orders were switched. They said they would remake our order. About a half an hour later the incompetent driver showed up with the original pizzas that were sitting in some stranger's house for 30 min. She didn't get a call about the remakes. Needless to say we finally received our correct order after a 2 1/2 hr ordeal and with three very hungry kids. That night we were told they would give us a credit. That was nice... except we tried to use the credit tonight and they not only dont have a record of a free pizza, but they dont even have record of the order that took place that night. When I pulled up my online reciept that gives an online order confirmation number, I was told that they can't do anything with that number. So they basically give you some random numbers to make you feel like you've received a confirmation number in the event something goes wrong, but is completely useless. I will continue to enjoy papa johns great tasting pizzas... just not from this location that is staffed with a bunch of incompetent losers all the way up to and including...
