Hate to give bad reviews because it means I either had a bad meal or bad service, but in this case it was just the food. I and my wife had been wanting to try this place and finally got around to it. Service was great and friendly. However, the food just don't have it. First the wife ordered 2 Carne Asada Tacos, simple enough. I ordered the two CHEESE enchiladas beans and rice .In the meantime we had water and ordered guacamole and frijoles to go with the chips and salsa while we waited for our food. I went into sticker shock over those two items, was like $12 for both. The frijoles bland runny, guacamole bland without any seasoning. Tacos arrived with the dried out not so fresh asada, also had shredded lettuce, no tomatoes or cheese just the shell shell lettuce and not so fresh dried out carne asada. The cheese enchiladas came and i had ordered them with green sauce Ahhh, first bite was chicken! Sent them back because I hate chicken enchiladas and ordered CHEESE. They took them back to the cook and they brought them back saying that their sauce has chicken in. Never heard such a thing. So, the cook strained the chicken out of the sauce and brought them back. Terrible bland sauce put cheese on top of the enchiladas and that was their remedy. My sides beans bland and the rice I would swear tasted like Mexican rice Roni. Had dinner here one night and the service was terrible. Our waitress was rude to start off, she took our order and we waited for a good 45 minutes to get our food then as everything is coming out almost all of our orders were wrong, they added beans and rice to all the plates when we only ordered the burro which made the meal about 2 or 3 dollars more. My burro was only meat inside nothing else when i ordered green chili with beans and cheese, i let the lady know it was only meat and she takes my plate while I'm saying ill just keep it, it's fine. She brings out a new one and i just can't bring myself to eat much of it because I'm afraid of what was done to it so i just leave it, come to find out she says she lost the ticket and just tried to remember what was on there. Well she never came back to our table and there were 4 employees behind us all eating that i kept looking back at we went to pay and she didn't take anything off the bill for the wait and the screw up on or food. I have to be honest, I really enjoy eating here unfortunately the last two times I have be a little disappointed 😔. The last time I did not leave a review because I figured maybe it was a change in the cook/ chef and the fact that they did relocate to Pinetop. The abondigas was not very good basically whole canned tomatoes with very little meatballs and very salty. This last time I ordered the taco salad with chicken which was very tasty I also had a margarita which was basically tasted like juice during happy hour which they charged me full price. The staff would be awesome, but we had many different servers who did not speak to one another, I literally had my plate taken from me when I was not finished. I was very disappointed since not one person asked me if I was done or if a to go box was needed. Basically I paid for juice with half a meal that I was still eating.
