Today, I ate lunch at Burgers and More. I have been on a strict eating regimen and have been avoiding certain foods because they make me sick. I ordered a burger with cheddar cheese, no bun etc. It came with American cheese, which I cannot eat. I explained it to the waitress, and she told me I did not ask for cheddar cheese and this is how the burger comes. I explained I cannot eat it that way, and she begrudgingly took it back to the kitchen. After which, I asked if I could just pay for it and buy one the way I wanted. She told me it had been thrown out. I did not finish my food, so I took it home.
I did not feel well this afternoon, so I looked at the food and noticed there was still some American cheese on it. This leads me to believe they just did what they could to scrape it off and didn’t actually throw it away.
If you are looking for a burger restaurant that views its customers as guests. This isn’t the one. Go to David’s Burgers. They welcome their customers as guests and go above and beyond to make them feel welcomed and happy.
I will not be back to...
Read moreNever again! After reading the reviews my daughter and I decided to try this place for lunch. While our waitress seemed friendly enough the food was horrible. My daughter ordered a cheeseburger with cheddar cheese, I ordered the bacon cheeseburger with pepper jack and we split an order of fries. Our order was delivered in a timely manner. The fries looked like we got the end of the bag, the majority of them were very small pieces. I will say the burgers were on the larger side but the meat was just a thin pre-fab frozen patty that was still cool to the touch and tasted freezer burnt. The cheese wasn't melted at all. My daughter's cheddar cheese was a small amount of immatation shredded cheese. After choking down a few bites we decided to cut our losses, paid out and went elsewhere for lunch. Instead of asking if there was a problem the waitress asked if we wanted a to go box. The cashier didn't ask about our experience either. As for everyone posting great reviews and raving about the burgers it makes me wonder how often they venture out and try legit...
Read moreWhile visiting family in Hot Springs, AR, 3 generations took mom out for her birthday at Burgers & More. Though location and personnel have changed over the years, the menu has remained pretty much the same. The plates that night varied from the namesake burgers to salads and baked potatoes to catfish and chicken tenders with mac & cheese on the youngest plates. For the most part, quality was good, service was pleasant, and the kids' meals were not scalding hot. Prices were moderate and the menu was varied enough that there was something to please most tastes. The small drawbacks were an iced tea that tasted noticeably like the instant variety, which was sent back in exchange for another soft drink, several glasses that missed refilling through the meal, and a mediocre bowl of chili. The bright spots came with some quality onion rings, some nicely done burgers, and a lot of laughter with a...
