Quality cookies, but expensive at $2.45 a cookie (no volume discount). Employee behind the counter didn't greet me or ask me what I wanted, despite the fact that I was the only customer in the store at the time. The place gives off nickel-and-diming/cheap vibes - I bought 4 dozen cookies for an event (3 boxes) and wasn't offered a bag to carry them in. . .or, God forbid, a free cookie (not necessary, of course, but you'd think they'd at least offer you a cookie after you've just spent $118 on. . .cookies). I also got some side eye from a customer who entered the store while I was waiting for my order to be filled (because I was a guy minding my own business in a cookie store, I guess) - seemed to be an East Arlington type who, quite hilariously, gave off airs that she lived on Beacon Hill (apparently, having skipped Arlington Heights entirely) and, even more hilariously, thought I would care one way or the other. Won't...
Read moreI honestly wasn't a fan...it's too bad because I was so excited to try them out! I heard some good things about this bakery. But for me, in my opinion, it wasn't worth the drive...the place is seriously small, and it was packed. You really aren't given time to look at what they offer and I felt rushed picking out cookies. They offer plenty of flavors but they DO NOT TAKE DEBIT OR CREDIT CARDS! which is strange...it's 2017! It's only cash or check. Not many people walk around with a check book these days ... And not many people carry cash anymore either. They need to update their systems badly...and the cookies? I tried a small sample and ...I just wasn't feeling it. Unfortunately I can make the same cookie in my house and it would come out just as good if not better. Sorry cookie time bakery...once I found out debit/credit wasn't an option there was no going back. Again, for me, wasn't worth...

For our son's wedding we wanted to offer a gluten-free dessert, and while CT's lemon and chocolate macaroons cannot be officially designated "GF" due to the co-location of other gluten-based activity in the bakery, we identified them as "flourless". We got 4 dozen of each, and they were a huge hit and nearly all eaten. They are about as good as a cookie can get. When I picked them up I was told they were their second most popular cookie, so I asked for a sample of the most popular, the Florentine. Now these cookies are not inexpensive, not by a long shot, so I thought 8 dozen cookies was a decent-size order, and that the sample would be offered gratis. Nope, it was tacked right on to my considerable bill. And they are right, the Florentine is a delicious cookie that melted in my mouth; it would have tasted even better were I comped. But I...
