Detour Coffee is truly a standout spot and an essential part of our local community. From the moment you walk in, youâre greeted with a warm, inviting atmosphere that feels both cozy and vibrant. The ownersâ passion for quality coffee and exceptional customer service shines through in every detail, making it clear that this isnât just another coffee shopâitâs a labor of love.
First and foremost, the coffee here is phenomenal. Whether youâre a purist who enjoys a perfectly brewed pour-over or someone who loves exploring creative seasonal lattes, Detour Coffee delivers every time. Their beans are thoughtfully sourced, and you can taste the care in every sip. Personally, I highly recommend their signature espresso drinksâthey strike the perfect balance between bold and smooth, without any bitterness.
Beyond the coffee, the food menu is equally impressive. From freshly baked pastries to hearty breakfast sandwiches and creative brunch options, every dish feels carefully crafted and full of flavor. Itâs clear that fresh, high-quality ingredients are a priority here. Donât skip their avocado toastâitâs easily one of the best in town!
But what truly sets Detour Coffee apart is the sense of community it fosters. The staff are incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, and always willing to offer recommendations or just chat for a moment. You can tell they genuinely care about their customers and are proud of the space theyâve created. Itâs the kind of place where regulars are greeted by name and new visitors are made to feel instantly welcome.
The ambiance is another highlight. Whether youâre stopping in for a quick cup on the go, catching up with a friend, or settling in with your laptop for a productive work session, the space accommodates it all. The decor strikes the perfect balance of modern and cozy, with plenty of natural light and comfortable seating.
Itâs also worth noting how much Detour Coffee gives back to the local community. From hosting small events to collaborating with other local businesses, theyâve established themselves as more than just a coffee shopâtheyâre a true community hub.
In a world where chain coffee shops dominate the landscape, Detour Coffee is a breath of fresh air. Itâs the kind of place you canât help but root forâa locally owned gem that excels in every aspect. Whether youâre a coffee aficionado or just someone looking for a welcoming space to unwind, Detour Coffee is a must-visit.
Support local, drink great coffee, and experience the warmth of a place that truly cares about its customers. Five stars,...
Read moreThe vibe of this cafe is amazing. There is plenty of comfortable seating, and free wifi to do homework. The music is really loud though, I could hear it over my noise canceling headphones. When I ordered my coffee, both baristas were available and there was no line. However, it took around 3 minutes for them to actually take my order. This happened to my boyfriend too when he went to order food, there was no line but the barista was messing with something on the counter so he was standing there waiting for a long time (around 5 minutes). When I was waiting for my coffee to be made it also took ridiculously long (considering there was no one else who ordered anything). They gave me the wrong coffee, which was the worst coffee I have ever had in my entire life. I brought it back up and they made me my new coffee. It was a lot better, except also took way too long to be made. They barely apologized, didnât work fast to get back out to me, or comp anything. My boyfriend got the bikini sandwich and fries, which was really good. However, since he switched from home fries to regular fries, it was $18. My small coffee was $8. Absolutely ridiculously priced, especially considering the horrible service. The coffee shop has good parking, a lot right in front of it, which is very convenient. Overall, I would not recommend coming here. Itâs sad that I canât recommend it, considering how cute...

I ordered â the reliableâ and the empanadas. The empanadas are an immediate NO for me. They are Not authentic tasting, the crust and filling was not desirable. Thankfully the good ol âreliableâ sandwich was great. Big portionđđž And the breakfast potatoes, delish!
I also ordered a latte with almond milk⌠I was hoping to get a cute mug with latte art like what Iâve seen in other reviews.. but instead I received a Togo cup𫤠and a latte that had so much foam it was basically a cappuccino 𼚠(I donât like cappuccinos lol). After getting through the thick layer of foam, I WILL SAY! It was delicious! I didnât get a chance to see where they get their espresso from. But it was GOODTđ¤đž I wanted to order another before leaving⌠âşď¸
Overall, it was a cute experience. The seating is not your tradition wait for someone to seat youâŚ. Itâs a âsee a table and grab the tableâ vibe. I sat with some pretty cool couples. The staff were nice, efficient and friendly. The service was Quick!
Iâd go back⌠wouldnât recommend going with a big group. But definitely...
