Had a very strange and disappointing experience here. I came in only for gel removal and a regular non-gel mani. The man doing my nails (who I believe is one of the owners) didn't know what almond shape was, and filed my nail square. When I corrected him, he then made it rounded, which I didn't bother correcting because I already lost so much length on the nail. I was also left with a bloody cuticle on my thumb during the buffing process. For the gel removal, he left large chunks of gel on my nails and then painted over them, so I had lumpy, uneven polish. I normally wouldn't leave a review just for these issues but the payment situation pushed me to share my experience. When I went to pay the total was $30 ($25 mani, $5 gel removal), plus a 10% off promo they have posted because they're under new management. My total was $27 and I added a $7 tip, for a total of $34. The man then charged my card $44 and when I pointed it out when signing the receipt he argued, then pulled out his calculator, punched in some numbers and saw that it was indeed $34. So he pulled out some cash from the register and handed it to me, but it was only $4, still short. Honestly, it was so bizarre and uncomfortable that I didn't argue further. Between the terrible work and the sketchy overcharge, I would warn others away from this place and it's "new management".

I waited ten days to post this review because I wanted to make sure my nails lasted that long with no chipping. THEY DID!! I’m thrilled because the last two gel manicures I got at other salons chipped within 2-3 days. Absurd I was so mad! I used to get gel manicures all the time that would last the full two weeks and never chip. But I think some salons are using cheaper polish or not curing it correctly because both gel manicures I got before coming to Ivy chipped within 2-3 days. Ivy nails DID NOT CHIP! I’m so happy. The reason I came to Ivy was because the gel nails I had on chipped on three nails within two days. And Henry fixed me up great! Henry was amazing! Friendly and very skilled at what he does. I would like to come back here and maybe try dip nails which he says lasts 3 weeks! The price was reasonable and everyone in the salon was kind. The first photo is my nails the day I got them done and the second is ten days later. You can see no chips!

I have been going to Ivy Nail & Spa over the last year, and I couldn’t be more impressed with the experience. If you are tired of going to the same, high volume type of nail salon and want a more personalized experience, this is the right place for you. It’s clear that Tee Tee is passionate about her work, and it shows in the meticulous care and attention she gives to every detail. My nails have never looked better! Not only is she incredibly skilled, but she’s also an amazing person to talk to. Our conversation made the entire experience even more enjoyable. I felt relaxed, pampered, and completely at ease throughout the entire visit. It’s rare to find a place where both the service and the atmosphere are so top-notch. I highly recommend Ivy Nail & Spa to anyone looking for a high-quality nail salon with a personal touch. Whether you’re looking for stunning nails or a place to unwind and chat, this salon has it all. I’ll definitely be back!

I’ve had great experiences at this salon in the past, but my visit today was a bit disappointing. I went in for a gel French manicure, and while I appreciated the nail tech squeezing me into her schedule, it did feel a bit rushed. I understand she had other clients, but I think it might’ve been better to suggest another day if her schedule was too tight.

The nails turned out nice, but right after I left the salon, I noticed there was a hair accidentally cured into the polish on one of my nails. I returned to have it fixed, and while she tried to file it off, the hair still remained. When I pointed it out, the tech argued that it was just the texture of my nail, though it seemed clear to me it was a hair.

Ultimately, I decided to let it go, as it was a minor issue. However, I felt like my concern wasn’t fully addressed, and I left feeling a bit undervalued. Given this experience, I’m unsure if I’ll return.

*EDIT: After reading the business’s response to my review, I want to clarify that I was on time for my appointment. The technician was still working on another client when I arrived. I waited my turn patiently. After my nails were done, I returned to have one nail fixed because there was a hair stuck in the nail polish. I waited about 15 minutes for the technician to finish with another client, which I understood, and again, I was patient. When I mentioned the issue with my nail, the technician filed off the top layer and applied another top coat. I pointed out the hair that was still visible, but she kept arguing that it was just the texture of my nail. I decided not to push the issue further, as she had another client waiting for her. This delay also caused me to be late for an event I had that evening. As a result, I left with hair still stuck in the nail polish and I chose not to return. Better time management and allowing some buffer time in between clients could have helped ensure a more thorough and satisfying experience for both...

I booked a mani+pedi for me and my best friend. Unfortunately, she went to the ER on her WEDDING DAY because OF TOENAIL INFECTIONS and they will not refund her pedicure unless she comes back for them to look at it.

My friend called for refund for just the pedicure, and did not mention compensation for the medical bills. The stylist said she would need to come in for them to look at it and try to fix it, but my friend declined their offer, not wanting to risk further medical issues or drive an hour out of her way. She offered to send photos of the infection and other medical documentation as proof, but they claimed they do not have an email yet to receive the photos.

My experience was also not great for the following reasons:

When I called to make the appointment, they were not clear about available hours, saying vague things like "I don't know, we try to open around 10."

The stylist filed my naturally long and oval shaped down to a square shape without asking. I told him to make it oval again. However, at least 5 nails were not well shaped after multiple attempts to try to make them even, and I eventually said it was fine because I didn't want them to get even shorter.

Our gel manicures did not last a week. The stylists filed our nails down at the end of our manicures, AFTER all the gel layers cured. The tips of our nails looked worn out after a few days. My friend's French tip was applied very thick as well, so while it didn't look great in person, it at least showed up in photos well. About 8 days later, the gel is also lifting at the base.

Finally, there was a TV playing the news the entire time. It is reasonable to expect that salons/spas aim for a relaxing atmosphere, but instead, we listened to the news loop about bombings and war for nearly two hours. No music, just the news. Not exactly the best environment for a pre-wedding experience.

Overall, we did not feel the $200+tip, and resulting medical costs from the ER,...

The service at this salon has significantly declined since the change in ownership. The lowest rating allowed unfortunately is a 1 but the service provided was a 0 rating. The first time I visited this salon after the change in ownership I arrived to my appointment on time. Upon arrival, I was informed they replaced my appointment with another appointment instead because I missed a call from them to confirm that I was still available to come during my scheduled time. They then asked me if I could come back that afternoon instead after they inconveniently double booked my initial appointment and I informed them I couldn’t and left thereafter. I received several calls and text messages from Henry post my departure offering me a 20% discount to come back and I declined. When I did decide to return at a later date, no appointment booked, I was truly appalled at the lack of customer care and professionalism. I requested a specific color on my nails and they made every effort to make it difficult to provide the color I requested which was a simplistic natural color. Instead, I had to choose a color I already had previously from a different salon. I was not satisfied with my service at all and I still paid the $93 with absolutely no verbal reluctancy or complaints but with the mental understanding that they’d never see me again. When I grabbed my purse, one of the unprofessional, less mannered employees approached me and stated they don’t have the color that I requested (which was no specific color because I asked for natural) and it’s best that I find another salon. I politely informed her there were no concerns regarding that on my end, as I had no intentions of ever returning. It became very evident why this place is always without customers and they are always offering discounts as a result to compensate for this and the extremely lackluster service. I highly DO NOT...
