This place has amazing food! The reason for 3 stars?
I walked in behind a young lady, and the older gentleman working greeted her and they had a cordial exchange in Spanish (I'm bilingual so understood it). He finished taking her order and walked away to prep the food. One of the younger boys came and took my order.
There was a man with his 2 daughters dining in and the older gentleman working paused to ask them how is everything and if the food was good. He then went back to work. When the Spanish-speaking woman's order was done, the older guy called her up and handed her the food, then told her to have a good day.
Another customer came in and the older gentleman made it a point to greet him by name, so I could tell he was a regular. He paused prepping the food to take this guy's order. He then went back to making the food.
While I was waiting on my order, two ladies came in, one with a cane. The older gentleman working made sure to welcome them in, and stopped prepping food to take their order.
In all of this, I picked up on the not so subtle microaggression. The older guy working spoke to everyone who entered the establiment except me. He took everyone's order that came in while I was there, except me. And everyone who left, he told them thank you and have a nice day. Excpet... me.
I'm not sure why. As a dark-skinned woman living in America, I never want to assume I'm being avoided in a place of business simply because of my appearance. It's the US and people from all over the globe live here!
But when I notice everyone else being treated with kindness and being thanked for coming in, I have to wonder. Maybe its just me, but I most certainly did not feel welcome here, and literally was not welcomed verbally or otherwise.
As I sat in my car writing this review, I saw a black guy leaving this restaurant and asked him if he'd been here before. He said no. I asked if he was greeted when he walked in. He said no again. I asked if he would come back again. He said if the food was good then maybe, but the service was not the most friendly.
Why are humans like this...

Read moreMy First Experience: On my first visit, I tried the chicken shawarma. In most places, chicken shawarma tends to be dry, but to my surprise, this one was incredibly juicy and flavorful. The garlic sauce was outstandingâperfectly balanced, not too strong and not too mild. I also had the deluxe fries, which were drizzled with garlic sauce, topped with feta cheese and olives⌠an absolute MUST TRY. I couldnât resist ordering both the hummus and baba ghanoush, and they were equally impressiveâsmooth, rich, and packed with flavor. My Second Visit: The second time I went, I tried the gyro sandwich, and it was a solid 10/10âabsolutely delicious. Of course, I had to get the deluxe fries again because they were just too good to pass up. Overall: From the food to the flavors, everything was top-notch. The overall experience? A...
