My friend recommended me to come here for their famous dish- Hu Tieu My Tho. When I walked inside the restaurant, a wave of nostalgia swept over me when I saw the owner was wearing Ao Ba Ba, a traditional Southern Vietnamese garment welcomed customers. Hu Tieu is a Vietnamese popular breakfast noodle dish in Southern Vietnam and can be served as a soup or dry. But, if you don’t like Hu Tieu, they also have Pho, Rice porridge , Rice plate, vermicelli; you name it, they got it. Also a long list of appetizers and beverages. We ordered a bowl of Hu tieu Ca (Rice noodles Fish soup), Hu Tieu My Tho (clear noodles, dry version, served along side with hot bowl of savory pork broth),egg rolls and grilled pork. Imo, they serve authentic and comforting Hu Tieu bowls. I really loved the toppings - pork, pork liver and seafood was cooked perfectly, and broth was very tasty. I liked to add pickle garlic and jalapeños to give it a kick. Our orders came out within 5-10 minutes. Keep in mind they will charge a fee if you pay by card. Service was friendly. I”ll definitely come back next time visiting Dallas.

Having just had six teeth pulled and unable to chew food, Pho became my beacon of salvation from the ocean of hunger. I am not Vietnamese, but I am a true foodie. I first had Pho when I was in college in New York, and then I would look for places to eat Pho every time I went to a new city. For decades, I have traveled around the world to countless countries and wrote food guides for some cities where I stayed for a long time. I arrived in Dallas before the COVID-19 pandemic, and this was not the first restaurant with Pho I encountered. I stumbled upon this restaurant while shopping in the supermarket the following month, and I found the original taste I had been looking for half the world, and then this became my base for eating Pho in DFW, and I brought all my friends here. The boss is serious and guards the lobby all year round. She is a very kind and friendly lady, and so are the other employees. I love this place and recommend it to everyone! !

I was so hyped to try this place after reading all the positive reviews, but it was underwhelming. Since hu tieu (noodles) is their specialty, I had to try the dry version of hu tieu My Tho. Pros: 1) Chill and quiet atmosphere. 2) Wide variety of food options besides noodles 3) Plenty of parking available. 4) Noodles come with plenty of shrimp, squid, and liver. Cons: 1) The sauces used were so bland that I had to sprinkle some fish sauce and vinegar on my noodles. 2) The service was lacking. I had to flag down a server to retrieve a missing order for someone in my party. Turns out it was sitting in their microwave the whole time. Overall, I’ve had better and worse noodles before.

The place is clean since they just moved in a couple of years from another location. The menu covers everything from noodles to rice plates and cold vermicelli bowls with a variety of grilled meats and shrimp. Their specialty is Hu Tieu My Tho. That is a very populated noodle. Also they are famous for clay pot fish and fish soup that's always accompanied with the clay pot fish. The restaurant always seems to have short of Staffing on the weekend. There seems to be only 2 waitresses working the front with taking orders, clearing the tables and running the food. It took almost half an hour to get our food. I meant the place was packed, but this crowd on a Sunday evening was kind of unprecedented. In general, if you enjoy their food you have to be patient, otherwise you have to come back on another day. The only thing I don't like about this place is if you order a takeout on one of the house specialties such as the clay pot fish and the soup and they will tell you it will be ready in twenty minutes that's a lie. I get there and they told me that I never called in advance and made me wait for 20 minutes for them to make it. I was so mad and if it's not for my mother in law, I would have...
