K Donuts — Restaurant in Arlington

Craving Donuts this morning and our favorite go-to place is closed on Sundays, so we gave K Donuts a try based on their Google rating. It isn't that fancy from the outside in the middle of a plaza. When you first walk in, it is bright, very clean, no inside seating, and you are greeted right away by both the person in the back and the lady at the counter. Service was fantastic. Other reviews complain about pricing, but I find them on par and maybe a little cheaper than most nearby competitors. They sell a variety of kolaches, donuts, and apple fritters. We ordered half a dozen donuts. Like I said, the service was great, and she even threw in a few donuts holes. Now, the donuts, the were ok, nothing special and I probably won't be rushing back soon. The long john's were half full, then nothing. They tasted, not sure exactly, not fresh, guess best way to describe would be a day old, stale, or tough. We did eat them, just something was off. I used to come to this donut shop often because the staff was always kind and cooperative. The older man who worked here was also polite and even offering free treats. Unfortunately, my recent experience with a new old women was the complete opposite. She was rude and dismissive when I asked for a simple accommodation changing gloves due to my allergy something other staff always did without issue. Good local donut shop. I got the donut holes, apple fritter, and buttermilk. Donut holes were good. Nice delicate crunch on the outside with soft chewiness on the inside. Not at the level of b Krispy Crème but still good. Apple Fritter was good. Not too greasy. Nice crisp and chewiness. Not dry. The buttermilk was a cake style donut.
