I have been going to this office for 6 or 7 years. From the receptionist to the technician to the doctor everyone has always been very friendly and professional. This is why you are getting 2 stars instead of one. I had to schedule a contact refitting last week because the contact lenses I had been prescribed were not fitting. I couldn't see. Everything was blurry. These lenses were a different brand than I had been wearing, but I was not aware of that until I received them in the mail. I have struggled to find a brand that works well on my eyes. I had mentioned to my doctor in the appointment that I really liked this brand. The lenses he had me try on that day, were the brand I always wear(Coopervision Aquaclear Toric). I was told I was still within my 60 day return policy when I scheduled the appointment. I get to the office and the technician takes me to a room to do some measurements. Her body language and demeanor made it seem like I was wasting her time...that she had better things to do than to help me. I read the lines on the wall with my contacts...they were all blurry I couldn't see any of them. Then she takes me to see the doctor. I have been wearing contacts for 26 years, so I know when something isn't right. It just felt like the contacts were not "settling" or "anchoring" correctly on my eye. The doctor appeared to be having a bad day as well, as he seemed very frustrated with my complaints, he didn't even look at the lenses in my eye to determine whether there was an issue, or if the measurements he had taken previously were incorrect. We are human...errors are possible. He reverted me back to my prior prescription and brand. I was told that I would have to pay out of pocket for the new lenses. I was only going to be able to return my one unopened box for an exchange. I had accidentally opened two of the same boxes when I first received them...so a total of 3 boxes had been opened. Either way...I CAN'T see out of those lenses, so my insurance and HSA money have been wasted. Even if I had only opened two of the 4..which I would have to do to see if there was an issue. I would have still lost money. $325.00 wasted(after rebate). Make sure you verify what brand of contacts your being prescribed and what their return policy is. Customer service no longer exists. They could have made this right. I can only imagine the markup of a contact lenses and the kickback the doctors receive for prescribing a certain brand. So, I hope that it was worth it for you all. You have lost a long...

Dr Schunk was just awful!
The front office lady (aka wannabe Barbie) was rude, and was just not very nice, friendly or welcoming, she was also smacking on bubble gum. Very unprofessional. She speaks very loudly and abruptly towards all patients.
Dr Schunk was very fake and was only concerned with how much money I would be spending on contacts and glasses at his office.
The whole appointment was like a sales pitch for more and more expensive contacts and glasses.
Dr Schunk tried multiple times and took multiple different approaches to try and ātalkā me into more expensive contacts, even after I told him that I was happy with my current brand and have worn them for 3 years without a single complaint. I also informed him that I didnāt have vision insurance so I was responsible for the entire cost of the contacts.
Dr Schunk continued with his sales pitch, going on to tell me that 80-90% of his patients have switched to these other (more expensive) contacts, and that they were SO much safer and more comfortable. Again, I told him that I was happy with my current brand and would like to stick with them. He then discontinued his sales pitch for the more expensive contacts and began a new sales pitch, trying to talk me into buying a 12 month supply after I told him that have only ever purchased 6 months at a time. Once he finished with the exam/sales pitch he walked me up to the front desk to check out and informed the lady working the front desk that I was wanting to purchase a 12 month supply. He said and I quote āheās ready for a 12 month supplyā I went into the appointment fully intending to purchase 6 months of contacts (like I have for the last 3 years, since I started wearing contacts) and left without purchasing any contacts at all because of his ridiculously over the top sales pitch.
Dr Schunk spent more time with his elaborate sales pitch than he did actually examining my eyes.
I look forward to NEVER...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI have been using this business for my ophthalmology needs for the past 25 years under the leadership of Dr. Edwin Murr. He was amazingly thorough and always spent as much time as needed to examine my eyes at every visit. Unfortunately, for me and a large circle of friends and family in our community who have also relied on his care for many decades, he retired this May.
I made my first visit yesterday and was examined by Dr. Patel, a young physician. Although courteous, the level of thoroughness I had come to expect from Dr. Murr was completely missing. An exam that used to take 30 minutes with an experienced doctor like Dr. Murr was concluded in less than 10 minutes. The emphasis seemed to be more on money and what insurance pays today, rather than on the care needed. I just exchanged texts with another friend, who has been visiting this office for 30 years, and he reported the same experience with Dr. Patel during his visit last week.
I cannot blame Dr. Patel entirely, as she is part of a new crop of physicians produced by our āsick careā industry, where the emphasis is on becoming a millionaire quickly rather than providing quality care that naturally leads to financial success. The pursuit of wealth should not be the primary goal of a physician, but rather the outcome of delivering thorough and compassionate service. This was the type of care exemplified by Dr. Murr and the reason our community continued to return to him year after year.
In good conscience, I cannot recommend Dr. Patel to anyone unless she begins to put the care of her patients ahead of maximizing income in the shortest...
