Found hair in my food! The older Maria is extremely rude. I used to love this place and we’ve ordered a lot of food here but will no longer be coming to this location. Further explained below: I’ve been here numerous times. I usually get the egg white veggie omelette. It comes with toast and has browns. Their toast has always been stale and the hash browns are always extremely crisp. I finally told them after going about 3 times thinking it would change on its on. They corrected it for me but I had to ask them each time to correct it. Today I decide to get something different. Their customer service on the phone is usually ok but the older Maria had an attitude from start to finish especially with me asking about my toast and hash browns. She kept cutting me off and hung up before I could even say Thank you. I get there and was greeted by the younger Maria (their in person customer service is always pleasant). I got my food and went back to my office. There was hair in my food and the toast was stiff. I called the place 8 times until someone finally answered (it never took that many times to answer). The older Maria answered. I let her know and she huffed like it was my fault and rudely told me to come get the new order. I go get it and apologize (even though it was not my fault). They made my toast over and gave me white bread. Not toast but white bread. I showed the younger Maria what I meant by stale toast and she said she can add butter to my new toast. I told them thank you and left. Me nor my office staff will be eating here anymore. The place has gone down hill. The service is horrible. When I came to get my food the 2nd time Maria went to the cooks and they both were looking at me with irritated looks. I threw my food away.

Breakfast for lunch, always a good idea. Menu has traditional & some not traditional items, great choices for anyone. Upon arrival I was greeted immediately & was seated, the hostess kindly took my drink order & asked if I needed a anything while waiting for my friend. The waitress was checked up on my twice as my friend was running late. All the coffee & jam offerings were readily available at the table. I had the chorizo skillet, it was good but a bit greasier than I expected. I know that chorizo is greasy but it seems like a bit much, the cheese could have also played a role in that. The chorizo was also pretty salty, I'll be back but probably wouldn't order it but time. The eggs were delicious! My friend had the peanut butter chip waffles with a side of sausage, it was good but not a huge wow factor. I noticed that staff was so attentive, friendly, & quick. Latrice was our waitress, I just about died with laughter because when I asked her what her favorite was meal was she answered in half a second with such excitement in her eyes! From the hostess, to the waitress, to the busboy the service was extremely wonderful & they are so warm towards everyone. This is a huge plus because there are a lot of elders that dine here & all of them were treated with such care. Prices, you can't beat. We both had waters & our total was $27 with tax but before tip. We were pretty happy with our lunch choice!

The food was subpar and the atmosphere was also due to sooooo many workers running around. The restaurant was pretty empty. More workers than customers. Every time I opened something someone was removing tiny empty sugar packets from my table. Pretty uncomfortable. The eggs I sent back because I ordered soft but arrived brown and half done did not make it back to my table any better. The sausage was so greasy not on to the touch but in my mouth. The grill may need to cleaned before cooking. The pancakes were heavy and doddy like older batter or they had been sitting for sometimes when it didn’t seem that way. My daughter had French toast and where she is definitely a fan she didn’t even finish it. It was just as much food on the table when we left as there was when we got our food. The highlight apparently by my daughter’s words was the coffee. I will not return. They definitely need new cooks or training in it. The server Latrice told me “ I’m from Chicago, the food is good to me.” I was like wow. I seen the manager/owner and he saw our table but said nothing. I think that was the pits. Anyway go at your own risk…. All Lonestar Cafes are not created equal. Nope nope nope!!! Edit Just to add we were leaving and there was limited customers but not a one worker gave salutations after we set there and heard them do to customers who left ahead of us. Shameful.

This place deserves ZERO stars!

To say that our experience at Lone Star Cafe was disappointing would be a gross understatement. It was, in fact, a vivid demonstration of how low the bar for hospitality can be set without the intervention of public health authorities.

From the moment we were seated—if one can call being vaguely waved toward a sticky table “seating”—we were plunged into what I can only describe as operational chaos. There appeared to be no assigned server. Instead, a revolving cast of harried staff drifted by our table like ships passing in the night, each one less informed than the last.

Now, I am not entirely without empathy; it was a Sunday brunch, and a certain degree of delay is to be expected. What is not to be expected, however, is the sheer disregard for basic service standards. Our meals took an age to arrive, and when they finally did, mine came garnished with a rather conspicuous hair—an ingredient not listed on the menu, I might add.

When I brought this to the attention of the waitress, she responded with the kind of exasperated reluctance one might reserve for being asked to assemble IKEA furniture on their day off. No apology, no urgency—just the weary sigh of someone who’d rather I ate around it. The replacement dish arrived in due course, and while it was mercifully hair-free, it came with a new insult to the senses: clear evidence of a rushed microwaving. Certain sections were scalding hot, while others were still inexplicably cold. One would assume a functioning kitchen might be able to deliver a uniformly warm plate of food, but alas, here we are.

My companion, meanwhile, received an entirely incorrect order but chose to eat it anyway, having reached a state of hunger that made him consume it regardless.

As for the hygiene—well. The table was sticky, the floors unswept, and the general ambience suggested that the cleaning rota had been legally declared missing. The menus looked as though they had survived a natural disaster.

In conclusion, if you value your time, your appetite, or your immune system, I strongly advise bypassing Lone Star Cafe altogether. Waffle House, just down the road, may not claim culinary excellence—but at least you’ll receive what you ordered, likely without embedded foreign matter, and from someone who knows they’re...

The experience I had was an unwarranted one. The Manager and the owner as he called himself (Hard to believe he was a manager at all tacky attitude). They asked what I wanted to drink and it was water...the cup I was served had 💄 lipstick all over the rim. The orange juice I was provided was on the old side...the plate that I was given was dirty. As I am single black woman on my own the Manager decided it was time for me to go with the sparce amount patrons that in attendance. I was checking messages on my phone and he didn't not asked me first...He puts his hand on my plate as I was not finished eating and nor was my fork in the position of tines down to I had completed my meal. I MADE HIM AWARE I WASNT FINISHED THEN HE REACHES OVER MY PLATE THAt STILL HAS FOOD TO RETRIEVE MY EMPTY CUP OF ORANGE JUICE. I MADE THE WAITRESS AWARE OF WHAT HAS OCCURS THEN I AM....ASKED DID I WANT TO BOX OF THE FOOD...NOT AFTER YOU HAVE REACHED YOUR HAND OVER MY MEAL...I DO NOT KNOW WHAT PARTICLES YOU MAY HAD ON YOUR ARM BEFORE YOU REACHES OVER MY MEAL I haven't finished. Then a customer harassed me by saying what she heard...which was indeed erroneous...This was not my first nor second time at this establishment but this was the grossest experience at a restaurant. DISHES....UNCLEAN SERVICE....UNCLEAN...PANCAKES TASTE LIKE PLAYDOH....I MAJORED IN HOSPITALITY Management and Tourism and Worked in this industry...I would never treat anyone different because of making assumptions..but A DIRTY CUP,A DIRTY PLATE,A DEMEANOR,OLD ROTTEN BANANAS MEANS POOR SERVICE. HARASSING CUSTOMERS BECAUSE YOU WANT THEM TO LEAVE....I WAS MINDING MY OWN BUSINESS AND WAS HARSSED BY THE SO CALLED OWNER ELEM AND THE UNKNOWN CUSTOMER WHO NEEDED TO NOT BOTHER ME A PAYING CUSTOMER. BY THE WAY, I NEVER ASKED FOR MY RECIEPT THE WAITRESS BROUGHT IT TO ME AND BAGGED THE LEFT OVER FOOD, SHE KNEW I WAS STILL EATING AND WHY I WAS WAITING. THE MANAGER ATTACKED ME FOR NO REASON ALL AT AND A POVOKED A SEEN. LEAVE SINGLE BLACK WOMAN ALONE IF THEY AREN'T BOTHERING.. I left my waitress a tip despite the NASTY HORRENDOUS EXPERIENCE. YOU WILL NEVER GET MY DOLLARS AGAIN. SATAN IS BUSY EVERYDAY AND IS DEFINITELY BUSY IN THIS...
