TL;DR: Have an hour you want to kill during your day? Why not waste it here waiting for your mobile order!
I placed a mobile order at 1:11pm and arrived shortly after that time and parked in curbside delivery spot to pick up my order. The McDonald's employee that was delivering the curbside orders moved slower than spilled molasses on a cold winter's day. It didn't bother this person one bit that there was a backup of orders in the drive-thru, the curbside, and dine in one bit. This person's phone seemed to be more important than making sure they didn't get hit walking through the parking lot at a pace that would embarrass a snail. This was my first red flag of how things will go. Flash forward 15 minutes later and one other curbside delivery that wasn't for me, said curbside delivery employee now walks out drinking a drink with their reflective vest over their shoulder, gets in their vehicle, and drives off. At this point, you would think someone else has picked up this duty, right? Wrong you are. I sat for another 15 minutes and still no order. Other cars arrived as well and they were waiting for their orders. I then went inside to see if I could see what was going on. There were at least 15 people at the register waiting for their order as well. I saw my order sitting in the basket for curbside delivery ready to go and every single employee walked right by it without a second thought. Since others were waiting for their orders, I decided to just get in the drive thru line and get my order that way. 15 minutes later, I tell the person taking my order the situation I am in and they tell me that I need to return to the spot I was waiting in and they would bring it out to me. I waited another 5 minutes, knowing that the order was ready, and still nothing. I finally went in and made my way to the front and asked for my order politely. I finally got it and also came to the conclusion that I will never come to this...
Read moreEvery industry has problems maintaining staff during the pandemic but this location does not know how to handle the situation probably. In fact, I think their solution borders on theft. When short staffed this McDonald's focuses on taking the orders as quickly as possible taking your cash and having you wait in the mobile drive-through slots. This results in chaos really. Wait times over 30 minutes, cars trying to figure out how to leave the crowded parking lot because they're tired of waiting. Meanwhile the poor confused staff try and figure out which slot that order was told to wait in, because there was no organization to record which car was told to wait where or when. Look I get that your short staffed, but there is no good way out of this solution. Do not take orders that you cannot fulfill in a timely fashion. No one's going to be happy. Even if I had gotten my order it would have been cold and disgusting and your staff are getting exposed to even more people than they have to running around like this. Oh also no refunds for the chaos. Thanks to my experience here, I'm going to refuse to pull into a mobile slot to wait for my order at all...
Read moreWhen I came through the drive thru I would have to say I expected the same mundane MckiDs experience as always. Granted this experience did start with me not getting my food and being forgotten at the window. Once I was remembered at the drive thru and finally brought my food there was tape trash topping off the fries. So after some fresh fries (my request b/c it’s mcds so let’s be honest we’re not here for the best food) and I left to come home and find not only was an item labeled the wrong order it was not my chicken sandwich . So I called the store, they couldn’t hear me over the phone but asked me to come in. When I came in the manager knew I was the wrong order by the sad look of coming back. She told me the other guy was really upset and expected me. Sir that was rude that manager was so nice. She offered to remake the whole order. I thanked her but again I just asked for my mccrispy. She was so sweet kept me update cause the chicken does take some time to cook and when she called me “mama” saying my order was ready with a free McFlurry in hand I knew I was in a good place. I got a hug and a pie and McFlurry. Truly made up for having...
