lets talk about Mehran's and how rare it is to find a place like this today. When courthouse kabob changed ownership, they stopped doing late night and shrunk their portions...Since late night eating out is my main eating out, it was definitely missed...Mehran's smartly saw the gap left and filled it...the menu is similar and different at the same time...the same flavors and new flavors...I've tried the tandoori chicken, the lahori fish, the goat curry, the lamb chops, the stuffed naan, the semolina dessert...all wonderful...the standout so far though is the achar ghost...i was literally taken aback by how fresh and delicate and savory the flavors were...i thought maybe i was having a moment, so I tried it again weeks later...still amazing...how often do you get consistency in fast casual?...this level of home cooking taste for these prices?...late night til 2:30amon weekends?...for portions and sophistication compare what you get for similar money at anything in ballston, clarendon, or courthouse; or on columbia Pike...the team there actually cares and asks about what you think of the food, is friendly and appreciative of your patronage and it shows...once i arrived late for pickup and they swapped out my naan for some fresh ones...some times they have even given me free samples of menu items...when it comes to late night, carpool, W&Js, P22, CCSPs daily specials; have positives...but I really cant think of a higher overall value in Arlington any time of day than Mehran's...count me as a regular customer as long as...
Read moreToday, I had the pleasure of dining at Mehran Restaurant in Arlington, and it was an experience worth sharing. If you’re in search of authentic Pakistani and halal cuisine, this is undoubtedly the best spot to visit. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with a warm and inviting atmosphere that set the tone for a memorable meal.
The food was absolutely outstanding, bursting with rich and authentic flavors that transported me straight to the heart of Pakistan. Every dish was perfectly prepared, showcasing a genuine attention to detail and dedication to quality. The portions were generous, leaving no room for complaints, and the prices were very reasonable, making it an excellent value for the quality offered.
The service was another highlight of the evening. The staff was incredibly professional, attentive, and efficient, ensuring that the food arrived promptly without compromising on quality. Their friendliness and willingness to accommodate made the experience even more enjoyable.
I also appreciated the cleanliness and upkeep of the restaurant, particularly the restrooms, which were spotless—a detail that speaks volumes about the establishment’s commitment to providing a top-notch experience.

Read moreI ordered goat biryani and chicken seekh kabab for takeout. The seekh kebab was so flavorful and tasty. I ate it with the tandoori naan and chutney, and couldn’t ask for a better tasting seekh kabab. The rice and channa that came with it were just ok. The channa tasted dominantly of garam masala, which shouldn’t be the main flavor. The side of rice was also just alright. Next time, I will stick to the seekh kabab roll, since I didn’t care for the sides.
The goat biryani was tasty, but the meat was chewy and tough. That’s the risk with ordering goat, which is why I generally don’t order goat. Also, it didn’t have as much meat as I would have liked.
Overall, an authentic Pakistani restaurant and I would definitely return for the seekh kebab.
Update: I returned here a couple days later. This time I dined in, and ordered the beef seekh kebab wrap, and vegetable pakoras. It was around 5:30pm, and I was the only patron dining in. The first time I was here, I had the chicken seekh kebab, and I thought it was great. However, the beef one was not very good. It was definitely not freshly grilled, seemed like it was reheated. The taste was a little smelly beef taste, and it was dry. I was very disappointed. The naan wasn’t all that either. The pakora was freshly fried and was tasty. If I come back, I will stick to the...
