Crisp & Juicy — Restaurant in Virginia

As other reviews say, this place is a hit or miss when it comes to food's freshness and taste, however, what is constant, is the TERRIBLE service and the overpriced food! I agree with all the other reviews that describe how awful the lady at the cashier is, rude and aggressive even, I should have called the police to report the incident I experienced, but I just left the place feeling sorry for her and her miserable soul. I ordered two quarters of chicken as usual to pick up but went I arrived to pick up the order, that lady told me they run out of chicken and that she could only sell me one quarter instead of two. I said I had called to place the order in advance and that I was not informed of that when I ordered. I added that I had a long commute to the restaurant and that I would have appreciated a call between the time I ordered and my arrival to safe myself the drive or to plan something else for dinner. I am a counselor by profession, so I am always calm, and polite. Her reaction was to my comment was to start screaming at me and also screamed at the poor man who works preparing the food, who previously was nice to me but this day he was also furious and between them two kept screaming at each other in front of all of the clients. They clearly were not having a good day. Sad to read here, it was not the only bad day for them where they display this bad attitude to clients who supported that business for a long time. The lady was so uncontrollably angry that she even threw the bag of my half order against the wall (aggressive behavior) and yelled at me that it was up to her to sell me the half order or for me to leave the place empty handed, that she had the right to sell my half order to anyone else if she wished. She was violent in her tone, her words, and her actions! It was already disappointing to buy such small/tiny yet costly side orders, but with this incident, even if the food was free, I would not buy there because of the UNACCEPTABLE aggressive lady's behavior. Crisp & Juicy is a decent spot if you’re looking for something quick, but I wasn’t blown away. I tried the Hot Argentine Sausage sandwich, which had a nice flavor thanks to the chimichurri and grilled onions, but the sausage itself wasn’t as spicy as I’d hoped. Also, the Kaiser roll felt a bit heavy, which made the sandwich feel more bread than filling. Not bad, but not amazing either.

The American Sandwich was just okay. The chicken breast was overcooked, so it ended up being a bit dry, which was a letdown since the bacon and tomato were solid. I felt the same with the Caesar Sandwich—the rotisserie chicken was overdone, so even though the flavors were good, the dry chicken just didn’t do it for me. The Caesar dressing also felt a bit heavy, making it a bit too messy for a sandwich.

As for the vibe of the place, it’s clean and functional, but the design is pretty simple. Definitely more of a grab-and-go spot rather than somewhere to linger. Overall, Crisp & Juicy is fine for a quick bite, but the overcooked chicken made the experience less enjoyable...

It's been a long time since I worked near a crisp & juicy unfortunately this store doesn't sell crisp nor juicy chicken, when you walk in you see no rotisserie with chicken cooking over charcoal what you see is the cook taking chicken out of a pan heating it up on a flat top grill, the French fries are dropped back into the grease everytime a order is ready and they need fries, what i got after 3 dips in the grease is hot soggy greasy gross fries, the chicken doesn't come crisp and juicy its dry warmed up cooked hours ago chicken with absolutely no charcoal taste. The sauce they make you pay for now is in the smallest plastic cups I think they make.. very sad I don't know if this is how all crisp & juicy stores are now or this is a bad store. The lady on the register and the cook yell at each other the whole time I was there. I placed my order on line 40 mins later it wasn't ready so they picked psc of chicken out of other Togo orders to make my dinner. Absolutely sad what happened to at least this Crisp & juicy.
