Mister Days — Restaurant in Arlington

We recently went there for trivia night and had a very bad experience.

The summarized version is: Tardy service, false information/advertising, felt like we were being scammed out of money, events happening weren't well planned.

We sat down and noticed there were pieces of paper that said it was 1/2 off all burgers and domestic beers that ended at 8:00PM. We sat down at 6:30.

On the menu there is a BURGERS section with a few items including sliders and chicken sandwiches. I asked the waitress about the 1/2 off and if everything underneath BURGERS counted. She verified that was correct.

We ordered some sliders, and some beers that were brewed in local states (like Kentucky). The beers came to us after 20 minutes, and the food after 30. We ordered another round of beer at 7:30. They did not come to us until 8:10.

When we got the check, everything was full priced. First the waitress said that the deals ended at 8:00, so the beer wasn't 1/2 off. We argued that we had ordered well before 8:00, and she just said "I guess technically it ends at 7:50" despite us ordering before that time.

We asked for the beers to be priced at 1/2 off as per the deal (and one of the reasons we went to this bar in the first place). She said it was only domestic beers. We assumed that DOMESTIC BEERS meant brewed within the confines of ones country (i.e. not Guiness (Ireland), Corona (Mexico), etc). Turns out in their terms DOMESTIC only means Bud Light, Coors Light, Miller Light, and a local DC brewed beer. Anything else (even if it was brewed in Virginia for example,) did not count.

Finally, we asked about the burgers being full priced instead of half. She informed us that Sliders didn't count despite us specifically asking if they did before we ordered them. I believe the sliders were ~$10 as we were expecting them to be $5. We explained to the waitress how we had asked before ordering, and she responded with an annoyed attitude: "what do you want, to take $3 off?".

We ended up spending twice as much money as we had expected.

Also, there was poker going on upstairs, and a corn hole tournament happening downstairs at the same time. It was hard to hear the trivia questions.

Unless changes are made to improve these issues, we will not...

Had a really disappointing experience on 6/26/25. Mister Days had advertised a “Love Island” watch party on social media, and a group of friends and I made a reservation online for 8pm. When we got there, after standing around in the packed, underprepared restaurant for 15 minutes without a single employee checking in, I had to track down a waitress myself to let her know we had a reservation. She came back 10 minutes later and told us that the restaurant was supposed to have closed their online reservation system but they had forgotten to, so even though it was their mistake our reservation was invalid. We then asked if we could at least be guaranteed a table once more opened up since it was the restaurant’s mistake and we had already been standing around waiting for 25 minutes, to which we were denied. The waitress said she would have the manager come talk to us, however the manager never did.

It’s ridiculous that Mister Days acknowledged that the issue was their fault entirely yet still did not even try to attempt to make the situation right. This event was very obviously poorly planned. Even on social media when people asked where they should RSVP for the watch party, those in charge wrote “No need to RSVP, just show up!” It’s honestly shocking to me that a popular business would ever plan this type of event so unprofessionally and carelessly. I hope they learned from their many mistakes last night and plan on making changes so as to avoid such chaos, however, I would not recommend this restaurant based on my...

Came here with a group of friends on a Saturday afternoon, ready to have a few beers and a good time. The waitress took some of our orders down but not others' so we called her over to ask for a couple more drinks. 30 min go by - no drinks. Mind you, we just ordered some draft beer and a can of Nutrl. Should have been immediate service. She comes by to check we got everything but we told her we didn't. Still no drinks for a while.

Finally we ask again, she brings them out on a big tray and proceeds to spill an entireeee glass of beer on me and my friend. My friend was completely drenched - literally got a full beer bath.

No apology, just frantic cleaning ensued. No one offered to replace this now fully spilled and empty beer. We literally had to ask them to replace it.

They offered my friend a dirty towel to clean his clothes instead of paper towels or anything, saying that's the best they had.

Such an embarrassing establishment....
