Cafe Everest: A Nepali Culinary Gem
Cafe Everest is a beloved spot for those seeking authentic Nepali flavors. The warm ambiance and attentive service perfectly complement the food, creating a welcoming dining experience.
Chowmein: A Flavorful Fusion • Perfectly Stir-Fried: The chowmein here strikes a wonderful balance between tender noodles and crisp vegetables. Each plate is expertly stir-fried to achieve a light smoky char without compromising the noodles’ texture. • Well-Balanced Seasoning: Infused with a blend of Nepali spices and a hint of soy sauce, the dish delivers a satisfying depth of flavor. The addition of fresh green onions and a touch of garlic elevates the taste, making every bite memorable.
Momo: Nepali Dumpling Delight • Variety of Options: Cafe Everest offers both steamed and fried momo. The steamed version features soft, delicate wrappers filled with juicy, well-seasoned meat or vegetables. The fried momo, with its slightly crispy exterior, provides a delightful textural contrast. • Signature Dipping Sauce: Each momo is accompanied by a tangy, mildly spicy dipping sauce that perfectly complements the dumplings. This extra kick enhances the overall flavor, making it a favorite...
Read moreJust happened upon this spot. Looked it up and saw it had good reviews so decided to try it. THIS PLACE IS AMAZING!!!! Quickly, just to get it out of the way, the atmosphere isn't great. It's a pretty small place with tables and chairs, not much else. Now to the good. The service was awesome, good recommendations, very attentive but not overburdening or needy. The food was out of this world. Having never had Nepalese before so we ordered just about everything. It took a little while to get our food, I'm sure that was because we ordered so much and it seemed that everything was very fresh. Each dish we had was so good. Even the chow mein which you don't really expect to be a standout was amazing. The stars of the stage... The Mo Mo. Imagine a dumpling loaded with flavor and paired with incredible sauces. My personal favorite was the pork Mo Mo soup. It might just be the single best dish I've had in the whole state of Texas. This place is over an hour from where I live and I will be back...
Read moreCafe Everest in Arlington, Texas, is truly a gem among Nepali restaurants. The food here is outstanding, with their momos standing out as some of the best I’ve ever had. Despite some online complaints about portion sizes or food quality, I firmly believe those opinions are off the mark. Every restaurant has its ups and downs, and Cafe Everest is no exception. However, my experiences have been consistently positive, and it’s evident that the team here puts in a lot of effort.
Yes, the restaurant can get quite busy, and with new trainees on board, things might occasionally feel hectic. But that’s a natural part of any growing establishment. What matters is that the food and the overall dining experience make up for any minor hiccups.
If you’re a fan of Nepali cuisine or looking to try something new, I wholeheartedly recommend Cafe Everest. Their momos alone are worth the visit, but the warm atmosphere and dedication of the staff make it even better. Don’t miss out on this...
