I'm not sure if they use a delivery service or not, but if they do they need a new one.
The delivery was timely and I prepaid a 20% tip on a $50 order, but the delivery itself was terrible.
I have been trying to support local business during the Covid Pandemic by ordering out twice a week, and so far all the deliveries I have had from other businesses were done properly. This one was horrid considering the circumstances.
We asked them to call and not use the front porch because my downstairs neighbor uses that door. They rang the doorbell, and then rang it a second time within 5 seconds.
The driver had no mask (as currently required by the state) and no gloves.
On top of NO MASK the driver was balancing his phone between his shoulder and chin as he pulled the boxes from the bag. He was talking the whole time and getting his spittle/ micro particulates all over everything (because he wasn't using the state required mask).
I opened the door and saw him do all this (wearing my own mask because that's how you protect others) and he took 2 steps towards me and tried to put the items directly in my hands completely ignoring social distancing guidelines.
I told him to out it on the ground, I stepped away and waited for him to leave. I went and got gloves and a plastic trash bag and threw the whole $50 order away.
If the driver can't follow simple protocol I highly doubt the crew making the food did.
What an absolute waste of $50. I was not willing to call and ask for another delivery, it's not safe to do.
If you have any concern about safety during this crisis, do not...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI don't consider myself a pizza expert, but I feel very passionately about it. This place has the best pizza I've had in my life. I'm in my 30s and lived in a number of states.
Always fast and friendly service, and the guys won't talk your ear off if you make it clear you need to get going. There's nowhere to sit since it's just takeout, but they get you out quick, and you get to see your pizza made just behind the counter, so no guessing games.
The pizza has the perfect amount of cheese -- it's melty and gooey and rich but doesn't get stuck in your throat. As a more saucy type of pizza person, it's got all the sauce I need. It's not too oily or dry, it's perfectly cooked. The ingredients just taste fresh and superb.
I'm actually writing this review now because I was craving some, but forgot that they're (usually?) closed on Mondays. Since it's in between Arlington and Cambridge, there's lots of easy parking either on the street, near it, or right in front. The only downside I can think of is that there's a little ledge to get inside, so it might be difficult for folks in wheelchairs.
Been meaning to write a review for them for a while; been going here once or twice a month for about a year and a half since I moved to the area. Still need to try their other options, but the pizzas...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreAnything I've gotten there has been pretty good for sure, but my complaint is, it seems that they are very rarely actually open, it's in my mind and it just happened again today as I wanted to order a takeout on my way to watch the Bruins game but they are closed again, after which I realized that they don't open up on Saturday until 2:00 p.m. egads, really, for a sub shop! It is definitely planted in my mind now after 2 years of experience with them over here, that they are not reliably open, and that I cannot count on them to actually be available when I'm looking for something to get, in contrast to Bridgestone's for example. But hey their food is good and reasonably priced, so if it works for...
