Nothing Bundt Cakes — Restaurant in Arlington

I called this location on May 28 to order a cake, balloons and candles to be delivered to my mother in Arlington on June 4th, 2020. That day is my mother birthday and I called my mother to see if she received her cake around 3:30 PM. She informed me no so I started calling the store. I called numerous times for more then two hours. I kept getting a voice mail in which I pressed 2 for ordering a cake. I thought that would get me to a person, which it did not. The store's voicemail box is full so you cannot leave a message. I live in another part of Texas so I cannot just drive by the store. The last resort was that I had to contact a friend in Arlington who drove by the store. They gave her the cake, balloons and candles. If I did not have anyone in Arlington then my mother would have gone without a cake. Even today on June 5th I am trying to contact the store because they charged me $15 for delivering the items, which they did not deliver!!!!!! I have done business with NBC in Fort Worth and Plano, which those locations were excellent and I guess the S. Arlington location is the black sheep of an otherwise customer friendly company.

I increased the rating from 1 star to 3 because the owner replied to my email and refunded the monies for my entire order and offered an apology. The gesture was appreciated and I will try their location at least...

Yesterday I was having an awful day. I was getting bad news left and right and I thought my favorite lemon cake from Nothing Bundt Cake would cheer me up. Right before going in I got MORE bad news and just had a complete meltdown. I wiped my tears and was determined to get my cake. I went in the ladies that work there are ALWAYS so kind. They are always smiling and offering assistance. As soon as I walked in they saw that I was amiss and gave me such kindness and hospitality. They didn't have to but they made me feel that they cared and were genuinely concerned about me. They even gave me a napkin to wipe my tears. I'm so grateful and so thankful. They went above and beyond for me yesterday to let me know they cared. In a world where we often are busy, it may be awkward to show support to those that are just not ok in that moment, I was so thankful for the ladies at NBC at that moment. I've even gone in there and dumped out my purse and gave them all my coins and they were so sweet while I counted out the change where others may have been slightly irritated they would have to count the coins the lady accepted it with a smile. Just got the limited time churro. Man tastes nothing short of amazing as usual. I must say it's pricey though. seems like i recall a time when these were less than $4. Am I trippin? Now they've gone up to over $5 and this one because it's a specialty flavor is over $6. I don't even remember them getting up to over $5. I haven't purchased one in so long. The last several that I've had have either been purchased for me or they were free for my birthday. With inflation these days, it's getting harder and harder to justify treating yourself when you can easily go by a pack of meat for this same price to make a few meals vs getting one little cake. One things for certain these companies are in business to make money and inflation effects their bottom line as well. So they don't concern themselves too much with what a customer has in their pocketbook/wallett. It's up to us to choose whether we want to purchase. what some see as pricey others may think is just fine and others could think they should be...
