The primary reason for this trip to the Dallas area was for us to see the Kenny Chesney concert at Dallas Cowboys Stadium as well as visit several friends in Dallas. Since we wanted to be close to the concert venue, we chose this hotel. They also offer a shuttle to the stadium via a third party vendor for $12 per person round trip. You could probably walk it in 20 minutes or so as well.
The location was easily found by our GPS. Check in was prompt, and friendly. As a Priority Club Platinum Member they kindly provided us with two free drinks in the bar.
There is a very nice lobby with a small front desk, and convenience pantry. To the far side of the lobby there is a full service restaurant and bar. This hotel appears to be a new build. It is very modern and nicely decorated. This hotel does a very nice job or representing the “new” Holiday Inn image.
We did not eat at the restaurant as we were meeting friends in other parts of town. By the time we got back from the concert around 11:30 pm Saturday night, the restaurant at the hotel was understandably no longer serving food, so we headed over to Ihop right in front of the hotel, then came back to the hotel for a nightcap. (They kept the bar open late because of the concert) We did have a bit of a challenge getting the bartender to honor the free drink certificate on our first night but with a little coaching from the front desk staff, all was good. The bar staff was excellent the next evening and prices were reasonable.
As with other Holiday Inn hotels, breakfast is not included as a standard. There was a breakfast buffet available for purchase, but since we had early lunch plans each day we did not eat breakfast at the hotel. The hotel has nice indoor pool, with some outdoor lounging space nearby. They have a nice fitness room for a mid range hotel. The hotel has free internet access for guests, but the speed was somewhat slow during primary hours. The hotel has a small business center. There is also a nice media room with DVD player and large couches available in the lobby area.
The rooms are nicely decorated, comfortable, and clean. The beds and pillows are very nice. The room has a nice sized LCD TV. The climate control works well, but unfortunately you can not leave the blower on for white noise. The windows in the room kept out the majority of the noise, but given the hotel is on the highway, you do get a bit of traffic noise. We were on a high floor and did not have any major issues with noise. The white noise app on my tablet kept everything in check. This location lends itself to quick and easy access to various locations in Dallas.
The room included a nice work desk, and fridge and microwave, but no couch. The room does not have a safe. There are a fair number accessible plugs. The bathrooms is roomy and nicely decorated.
The one negative of the hotel is that they lack some attention to detail. The desk chair arm was broken and had a sharp corner. The handle was partially missing from the shower. The sink drain was broken. There was no clock in the room. We had to request twice to get the sink drain fixed, the clock brought to the room, and extra towels. We did not report the shower handle or desk chair. If it was not for the lack of attention to detail, this hotel would have gotten a 5 star rating instead of the 4 star.
We received our bill under the door in the morning like we should have.
Every staff member that I interacted with was pleasant and treated me wonderfully.
Would I choose this hotel again....most likely, if we ever need to stay in...

Sink Cold Water Handle came off in my hand, no screw holding it in place.
Hot Water smells like old rust and something rotten. Something you definitely don't want to bath in, or even use the cold water to drink or brush your teeth in knowing that nasty hot water has been through the faucet. Cold water also has an odd smell and taste to it.
Bathroom Door Lock Lug does not engage into its hole in door jam. No privacy here.
Phone Message Light cannot be cleared, it has an old message from October 19th. Called front desk, they can't clear it on their end.
Sound Deadening is meager. Can hear other rooms, hear water flowing in walls, and a strange whistling sound by front door that source could not be found.
On the wall opposite Elevators, the TV screen says Shuttle Service to Local Amusements. We were going to Globe Life Field, but front desk person told me the Shuttle is for "Restaurants Only". Really?? Since when did a restaurant become an amusement?
Shower water runs off the tub and pools on the floor.
We were given Free Breakfast cards showing could be used for Buffet or Menu Ordering. Upon arriving we were told Buffet Only, no Menu Ordering. I asked why and was told "Our hotel is too full to do menu orders". Scrambled Eggs were DRY, DRY, DRY, Sausage and Bacon were WAY over salty. Breakfast Potatoes chewed like gum. Biscuits were dry, Gravy was sticky. Bananas were more Brown, and I mean BROWN, than yellow. Some people like Banana that way, but would have been nice to have some Yellow ones to choose from. While I appreciate the Free Breakfast, it was not at all an enjoyable one.
TV Remote, I'm guessing has not been wiped or cleaned in a LONG, LONG time. Bring your own sanitary wipes!!!!
Elevators were consistently not working properly. Had to stand there and push the call button over and over and hope one would arrive soon. (Elevator issues are mentioned in other reviews I have read about this location. Seems there is an ongoing problem??)
I don't know how so many things that need attention can go unattended. Some of the things I mention are simply taking the time to notice and then take appropriate action. Maybe workers are not bringing things up to management so they can be remedied, like the Cold Water Handle which surely the cleaning staff use during their Post Check Out cleaning. Or the smell of the hot water. Or the dirty TV remote. It is not an appealing place to want to stay, and relax when on "hotel time", not...
Read moreWe traveled to Arlington to attend a Cowboys game. We picked this hotel because of its close proximity to AT&T stadium and its airport shuttle service. Let’s start with the airport shuttle. It only picks up at the top of the hour, which seems limited for a tourist destination. The shuttle doesn't run automatically. You have to call the hotel for pickup. I called the hotel at 12:30 when I landed and was told to be at the pickup spot by 1:00. I was there on time, but the shuttle didn't arrive until 1:20. I understand delays happen, but I was waiting outside in 106 degree heat. When my daughter arrived on a different flight two hours later, the shuttle was again late, well past the top-of-the-hour pick up time. Now for the return shuttle. We didn't know this beforehand, but the earliest shuttle leaves at 7 a.m. (Most hotels that offer airport shuttle service begin at 4 or 5 a.m.) This cost us a really unexpected and expensive Uber ride to make our 8 a.m. flight. Now for the hotel itself. Its best attribute is its close proximity to the baseball and football stadiums. In cooler weather, you could walk there. I also appreciated the hotel's professional and polite staff. They were great! As for the rest of our 2 night stay…meh. Our room was worn out, and worse, it wasn’t clean. You could write in the dust on the tv stand and desk, and there were weird stains on the lampshades. Thinking maybe the room just hadn't been used in awhile, I asked the front desk to have our room cleaned while we were away on the second day. When we got back that evening, the beds were made and the towels replaced, but the tv stand and desk were still coated in dust! As far as value for cost, yes the hotel is close to the stadium, but being here for a Cowboys game doubles the price of the room. Also, on top of all the usual fees, you'll pay an additional "tourism tax" for this hotel's location. If you're here for a game, the hotel offers a convenient shuttle service to the stadiums for an extra (cash only) fee. Other things the hotel could improve on: We were kept awake by drunk and noisy neighbors until 3 a.m. While this is not the hotel's fault, there weren't any "Quiet Hours" signs posted anywhere. For those wanting a free breakfast, you won't get it here, but there is an iHop right in front of the hotel. We used Uber to get to local eateries, and unlike the airport run, these short jaunts didn't cost much, but they did add up. Long story short, for all the extra costs we incurred in the form of a doubled-priced room, tourism taxes, and Uber fees, we could have rented a car and stayed at a hotel outside of Arlington for a...
