This is my first review I've ever written, but I feel like I need to warn others. I have to leave one star just to be able to write a review.
I have gone here three times. My first time here, I had never heard of Zero Degrees so I looked their menu up online and it looked great. I walk in and received no greeting whatsoever or even acknowledgement as I walked up to the young lady at the counter. She didn't say one word to my fiance and I, she just stared at us. I proceed to ask her if she had any recommendations and she just shook her head no... it felt very unwelcoming walking into this establishment and waited over 15 minutes for our drinks. I had to ask them if they were making it since we were the only ones in there before other customers arrived and they all started to get their drinks before us.
After this encounter, I have decided to only do online orders. That was a huge mistake. The first time I ordered online it took over 20 minutes to get my one drink handed to me. Not a smoothie, just a drink with boba when they weren't even busy.
Today, I put in an order for a tiger sugar milk tea ($7) with boba at 4:59pm. My fiance goes into the establishment at 5:04pm and waits for the drink to be ready. He is in there for over 10 minutes and nobody says anything to him. He tells a young man with glasses that he's waiting on an order for Morgan and the young man looks at a ticket on the counter AND JUST WALKS AWAY. 4 other people come in, order, and get their drinks before my fiance. Other employees just stared at him while he stood there, turned to each other and both walked into the kitchen. Over 15+ minutes and same lady that was initially staring at him finally walks up to him and says "can I help you?" As if she is annoyed that he is standing there waiting. So he repeats the order he is waiting for and she walks over to a cooler and pulls the drink out that was in the cooler the whole time he was waiting. Luckily my patient man was in there and it wasn't me. I was in customer service for 8+ years and if they really wanted tips (as requested on their iPad when you're paying) they would treat people a little more respectfully.
This place sucks simply because of the absolute HORRIBLE service you receive from these kids that work here. They all need attitude checks and need to learn how to treat people, especially when working in customer service.
We will not be going back and we wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. If you're reading this, please save your money and time and go get boba or wings literally...
Read moreI'm way too excited to return!
I went during their grand opening on June 23rd. It was hot and miserable while we waited outside for about 45 minutes. As long as this will not be the norm, then I will most likely frequent this spot. Since it was the grand opening we were provided entertainment by T-Mobile so I appreciated that! We were also given water and prizes. Fans along the line as well.
Once inside, I could see enough through the crowd that it was sleek and beautiful. Very clean and fresh interior. I didn't check the time but believe we spent at least another half hour waiting once inside. Our cashier, Jordan, suggested the strawberry mojito with a mango twist after I asked about it.
The reason I am giving 4 stars is because the mango was not ripe at all. I could not eat any of it. When I tasted the seasoning on it and then dipped the drink, I decided they do not belong together. I finished my drink without the mango and it was absolutely refreshing and delicioso! I loved the size of the fruit chunks and the mint. The entire time I drank it, I wish I had purchased a larger size.
I did not try any food as the wait kind of turned us off from waiting any longer for that. There were interesting options with a fusion of Asian and Mexican on the menu.
Overall, I knew what to expect since it was a grand opening so I am not going to let that affect my review. I absolutely will be returning to try a different drink, some food, and hopefully enjoy a...
Read moreFirst time here and the place is packed! Staff seems very friendly and energetic, even thru the hassle of being in the middle of a rush, kudos to them! Atmosphere here will probably be very chill once the rush of opening days, for now it's pretty hectic, finding a place to sit inside is a bit of hassle but nothing too bad. Personal understanding of what it's like to be in a rush in the food service industry aside, the floors are sticky and tables need a good cleaning, but it's not anything that can't be fixed. Here, presentation is what pushes their drinks from ok, good but nothing super special to stop the presses, to being pretty cool. The mango twist, cut up mango slices with Tajin and chamoy look impressive and are admittedly, very tasty. This gives the drink I had, spicy watermelon slush, a certain wow, making it worth the wait and price. Their Ube Milkshake looks so fun, a purple drink with marshmallows and candy, topped off with whipped cream. However, tasting it you realize, it's just Ube milkshake, nothing bad but just ok, tasty tho. All in all, enjoyable experience, tasty drinks that help refresh you on a scorching Texas summer afternoon. If the staff can do a bit of cleaning more often, I'll be down to come...
