Rita's Italian Ice & Frozen Custard — Restaurant in Arlington

The frozen custard is good. I'm not at all a fan of how they expect you to tip through the drive thru, especially when the drive thru isn't very fast and the girls working there aren't friendly. Personally I think the owners should go to Andy's frozen Custard in Mansfield and see how it should be done. Their prices are less, portions are larger and they actually give you toppings. Here they charge you for each one and barely give you any. I literally had 4 M&Ms which is crazy when you're paying extra for it. To test them I ordered 2 toppings and I had the same amount as 1 and paid more. Also, I've been 3 times and today I was charged for a large when it's the same exact size as the small. I've had the small twice before so I know, and when I asked the worker she argued. I left feeling like I was ripped off. I won't be back since Andy's is cheaper, faster, generous with the toppings, way better service and don't prompt you to tip for doing their job. Pay your employees and don't...

KD was kicka$$! I've never been to Rita's so she took the time to explain what was in the menu what she recommended what she liked what I might like and let me decide what I finally figured out I wanted. So patient so kind so thoughtful and so knowledgeable of what is on their menu. To top it I needed to use the restroom and they don't have a public or customer use one. She came back to the window a couple minutes later and suggested I use their neighbors, Dollar General. She could have moved on to her next mission, forgot all about me and my bladder, but she didn't, she made sure all my needs were met. What an amazing experience! A tired mama treating two of her kiddos to Rita’s after school… One can’t decide her flavor of Italian ice. One has a severe peanut allergy and mama doesn’t have the epi-pen with her. The lady that waited on us was patient and kind.
