*BACON JAM CHEESEBURGERSTRAIGHT TO THE POINT Buyer Be Warned!!! They're selling like hotcakes but...! Is it good? I wouldn't recommend it but ...read on. lol
Placed my order through the app for the bacon jam burger to get the discount cause as good as they make the burger look I knew I was not going to pay $5 for this burger especially with it being new and me running the risk of not even liking it.Ā When I arrived to the Bowen rd location they said they could not fulfill the order because they were out of bacon Jam!!! (Did I mention selling like hot cakes)
The CarHop was nice about it... apologized offered me three different burgers that they could make for me but I did not want them.
They advised that canNOT issue me a refund when an order is placed through the **app. Be warned If you get to the location and you've checked in and you're waiting for your order and for whatever reason it ends up needing to be cancelled you have to call customer service.
The store cannot do anything and you cannot request a refund through the app. Now I have to wait 7-10 business days for my money!! Ugh!!!
I replaced the order to the Randol Mill location in Arlington.
I get there they bring me the order. I ended up asking for extra Bacon Jam because I could tell the sandwich was going to be dry.
She came back out and apologized and held up the current order in her hand and said this was the last of the bacon Jam. See? Hotcakes!
This was around 5 p.m. on a Tuesday so if you want to try this i guess its best get there earlier in the day.
I don't know if they run out because this is pre-made and the only get shipped so much to the store or if they have to prep it in the morning in the store and once it's gone it's gone but she couldn't bring me more.
So is it good? Well it's not and def not worth $5.Ā Its the size of a Jr burger for one. And for 2 I don't know if I just missed this in the commercial but I didn't realize it was going to have mayo and mustard on it as well. O_o
I noticed in some YouTube reviews people were getting burgers drenched in mayo and mustard and therefore that's all that they could taste they had to take their finger and swipe the meat just to taste the bacon Jam by itself. Now in my instance ...hope you can see my pics ...there wasn't a lot of mustard and mayo on it at all however all I could taste when I bit into the burger was mustard. There was a decent amount of jam itself but let's say I was to order this again I would order it and tell them no mustard and no mayo and again extra Jam if it's available . I was hoping it would be kind of a sweeter tasting type of sauce but it's not. It's kind of an oniony not quite barbecue sauce but that's the best way I could describe it. I would have thought with it being called the bacon Jam burger that that would be the star of the show but no the star of the show for me and many on youtube was the mustard.
**i had to come back & add more detail after thinking on how to describe the jam.
Kind of like a caramelized onion bacon barbecue glaze but more savory not sweet. An oniony spread or caramelized onion bacon bits kind of spread that I could see people putting on top of a steak or maybe a condiment on a roast beef sandwich or maybe just spread on some warm crusty bread but for it to go on a burger it's very different. Its not bad but not the wow i had hoped for since again i mostly...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreCame to order some food and a Medium Blue Raspberry slush with nerds. The employee PAYTON comes back with our food, order is paid with cash, and I looked at the drink and took a sip of it. I specifically asked for it to be WITH Nerds and I don't see any. I even try swirling around the cup around in case the Nerds were on the very bottom. Nothing. I come out, press the button again to order, and to let them know I didn't receive the Nerds I asked for. I told them I could pay extra for the Nerds. Payton said "We would have to make a whole other drink. You want us to make you a new drink?" and I told them again I could pay extra for the Nerds only. She comes out again, I told her I don't see Nerds on there and I'm willing to pay extra for the Nerds again, and she said "Yeah, I saw the employee add plenty in there." Came home to drink it some more...there were none. Even though she didn't charge me for it, her laziness and lie was not appreciated. I heard her take the next order on the intercom nearby immediately right after my order so I know they were busy, but I could've waited. If you weren't too lazy to come out and speak to me this lie, you surely could have made me a new drink. I've had problems with this location before. Tried to give them a second chance. I tell all of my coworkers never to go to this location because of their service even if its closer and they don't regret it. Attached is the receipt with all the details and the employee name who worked on it for the manager. In case the picture is not clear, the receipt says "10002 Payton" and ID#: 151901170490. CHK 490 for 8:19 PM on 1/17/22. Stall #15. Tray: 7....
Ā Ā Ā Read moreALL Sonics have lost their way. Nothing like any of them used to be in the 90s early 2000s. They changed the buns for burgers, the meat for the burgers, the fries and host of other things that really made them unique in their brand. I gave them a try after a long break(years) I'm hopes things may have changed for the better but sadly things have gotten worse. Whoever is in the CEOs kitchen making the decisions on the taste and quality of their products used in the food needs to be moved to the janitorial department. I never thought I would say that a McDonald's quarter pounder is so much better than the "famous" Sonic drive in. The only thing left worth ordering at any Sonic is the coneys, tots and the onion rings. Drinks have always been good depending on the water quality of whatever city they're in except the Tea, it's always rancid. As an owner of taco shops I think I would know a thing or two about freshness of ingredients as 99% of customers can taste fresh ingredients and can easily discern a difference in taste from clean fresh food to a cheaper weeks old product full of preservatives and unpronounceable ingredients that weigh you down and don't give sustenance to the body. My profit margin is less but I still make more money as everyone comes back knowing I can stand behind my product. Sonics brand is surely getting destroyed by their profit model of mediocre cheap food at a quality foods price that doesn't represent what we the public think of when we remember the Sonic from the 90s. Get to work Sonic, make your food great again. Or more franchise closings will be in store...
