Wow. Wow. Thai food kinda scares me ever since I ordered volcano fish at a place once. I've learned if I stay away from descriptions of food named after molten rocks and stuff, that I can survive. I like some heat, so I went with the 2.5 (out of 5) heat level on the cashew delight. It was indeed delightful. The staff is unfailingly friendly and polite. The owners are great, The wife is Thai and the husband is a Texan. Her parents are in the kitchen, so not only is this a real family restaurant, but you can't get more authentic here. Every appetizer we've tried here has been superb. The owners are very responsive to social media feedback and responded very quickly to my comments there. A warning is in order however. This place is so popular with regular repeat customers, that service suffers sometimes. However, they now also offer a delivery service. If you're fortunate enough to be in their delivery area and can plan an hour ahead, you might be in heaven. We live outside their area, but my wife teaches with a gentleman who has dinner delivered at least once a week for his family. We will definitely be back...
Read moreThai Texas has been a go-to spot for us ever since we moved to Arlington, and it never disappoints. This hidden gem consistently delivers bold flavors and top-notch dishes that keep us coming back. We usually come for the Pad Thai and Peking Duck—both are simply exceptional. The Pad Thai has that perfect balance of sweetness and tang, while the Peking Duck is crispy, tender, and packed with flavor. It’s definitely worth the drive and the occasional wait.
For spice lovers, you’re in for a treat. Their heat levels range from 1 to 5, and if you’re feeling adventurous, level 3-5 is where things get exciting. But be warned—this place doesn’t hold back on the spice, so come prepared!
The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming, with a hint of modern flair. Whether you’re dining in or grabbing takeout, the staff here are always friendly and attentive. I recommend taking a moment to chat with them—they’re happy to help with recommendations if you’re new to Thai cuisine.
Thai Texas is the kind of spot that feels like a small slice of home, and it’s easily one of Arlington’s culinary treasures....
Read moreThis place gets a 0 star rating for me. I went in for take out. Ordered two Texas thai fried rice and two chicken fried rice and some appetizers.Spent around $60 I waited 45 min for my food. Drove home to fort worth to find 3 of 4 meals were burnt. Complete waste. After my hungry kids eat what they can, I call them. I didnt even get a receipt. I ask for mngr and lady says she is. I tell her my food was burnt and she says oh hold on let me get the mngr 😠 seriously?! Then when I tell the mngr she says bring the food back. Smh I'm in ft wth I'm not driving another 30 min when I waited 45 and then 30min home. She said she would refund the meals burnt but can't unless I come back up there with my card. I let her know it would be some time next week. I go up there today, right when they open 430 knowing they wouldn't be busy... Lol jokes on me. No mngr and guy at counter said yea I see the note but I can't do refunds... 😠fml. This has been the worst experience I have had in any restaurant. I am on the edge of saying F Thai food. It's way over...
