I stopped in around 11ish on a weekday, it has a pretty lively feel. They have some artsy walls, some vibrant chairs & different seating options - small tables, large tables, high seating, counters, & couches. There is also space to sit outside, some vibrant chairs both in & out. There were only two other people there at the time so it was quiet, I imagine it might get a little loud when they are busier just due to the open space & acoustics. The place looks cool though, love the lights. Staff was friendly, drive thru seemed consistent & others did stop by during my short time there. Even though it wasn't busy inside I was greeted promptly, the girl was super nice, & my drink came out pretty fast. I ordered an iced sugar free Irish Cream latte. I am really happy that they have other sugar free flavors available other than just the basic vanilla or caramel. I got a large, it was a pretty good size & the price wasn't bad. I was a little disappointed they were sold out of their ham & cheese croissant so I didn't get a chance to try it. They do sell a variety of food & drinks, not just coffee, so there is something for everyone here. Clean establishment, no issues with the service, seems like a great place to get together with friends. Give them a try!

Just checking in for my recent experience at Black Rock Coffee in Arlington However, my recent visit was exceptional. The baristas were friendly and efficient, looked down and before I finished paying, my coffee was waiting on me. I ordered a Irish Cream Breve, and it was exceptional. The coffee was rich and flavorful, and the milk was steamed perfectly. I also grabbed a bag of your Old Town whole bean coffee also recommend by the staff. The atmosphere at Black Rock Coffee was relaxed and inviting. I love that they have a variety of seating options. I highly recommend Black Rock Coffee to anyone looking for a great cup of coffee and a delicious snack. I will definitely be back soon! Sincerely, New Member

This was my first time trying black rock coffee. I ordered the jackhammer since I needed the extra caffeine that morning. Upon entering, I was greeted with a friendly smile and began to order. However, as the music kept playing, it seemed it was a little too loud to understand the cashier. This being said, I took my food and coffee to eat outside since the music was too loud for me inside. Upon getting my breakfast burrito, I was left shocked to discover the size!! Both my coffee cup and iPhone 15 were bigger than the small burrito ordered. (See pic for reference) it was finished with 4 bites... I definitely do not recommend the burrito, but coffee was okay.

We were very excited to try this place over the weekend. Couple of things: the drive-through is poorly engineered, they came up about 12 to 18 inches short for people driving a truck, won’t make that mistake again - although I’m not sure we will be back. Someone needs to pull aside the young lady working the window and ask her to bring it down a notch or two. I know she has probably been drinking coffee literally all day but the high-pitched loud squealing at customers 100 miles an hour is not what everyone comes for. Seriously off putting. And why Dino want to provide you my phone number!!?? It’s coffee.

You also need to work on your point of sale. Passing an iPad back-and-forth for people to sign a credit card transaction is clunky, work that out.

Lastly and most importantly the coffee just is average. I ordered a Mexican mocha and they did not have the ingredients to make it so they said they would fake it and it was awful. We pulled over and threw it out. My husband ordered a mocha hot, he drank it but said he would not return for another. So many mom and pop coffee shops popping up everywhere PJs, black rifle, black rock, if you want to be memorable and have returned business, make good coffee and have...

The drinks are great, lots of options but the tipping thing finally got to me.

I'm willing to pay for a stupid expensive drink from time to time. What I'm not ok is the pressure to tip $2 on a $7 thirty second drink. When they first opened I realized the system and paid until I figured, "I'll just bring cash. Ha, I gamed the system!" But then they taped the cash tip thing on the outside. I wasn't upset about it. It allows to throw in the change from a cash buy if you feel like above and beyond service happened. Completely reasonable. What wasn't reasonable was when I paid for my last drink the kid serving me dropped (what seemed like his own coins) coins in the cup and slightly shook the can to make more sound, tring to get me to tip him for bringing a $7 drink to the door. Not ok. I don't plan on coming back - I'll take my money to one of the other 3 overpriced drink...
