I work for a mobile dog and cat grooming company and I had a casual conversation with the owner of this restaurant (Tom) as he booked his cat for an appointment. He talked about this restaurant a bit, and as a life long pasta lover, I just knew I had to try it. My boyfriend and invited a couple of our good friend and we ended up staying there for a good 3 hours talking and catching up. We were never bothered or asked to leave (because I know we were hogging a larger table they probably needed). We appreciated it. It’s a very cute place. My boyfriend instantly commented on how wonderful it smelled as we walked in. The four of us ordered a large pizza, and a few pasta dishes (stuffed shells & tortellini) just so we all could try a little of everything. We got a lovely loaf of soft bread and butter, and of course it was delicious. Next came the salads, and they were cold, crisp and fresh! I do believe the Italian dressing is house made. It was very nice as well. Then our pasta and pizza came out. I’m a bit of a ricotta snob and a bit picky, ricotta mix inside the shells was divine! Yum! The pizza — amazing. The crust is not normally a part of the pizza I eat, but it was delicious and cooked perfectly! The meat balls and sausage that came with the pasta — incredible. The sausage had the PERFECT amount of spice, and the meatballs were massive. The tortellini looked possibly house made as well and wow oh wow was it good. The staff was nice, it wasn’t too loud in there which was nice. Overall I believe all of us had a great experience and we will be back…. I have to try those cookies they had in the jars on the counter! Thank you Tom for telling me about my new favorite little Italian restaurant!!

How sad, a legend is gone. I have been dining here for 20 plus years, down on a bad back for over a month and had two, very long procedures done today. Still wearing my sweats. I called in my I order for take out, 45 minute wait, that's fine, pulled in 15 minutes later and there were three or four cars in the lot, i was soo excited, I could eat a meal out, a few minutes of enjoyment. Walked in, three people at the bar, one couple at a table, asked to change my order to dine in, I was flatly told no. We have to keep the tables open for walk in. Lady went to the bar and talked to her brother, he would let me sit there. Had some wine and was feeling mellow, happy. 30 minutes later my main course was plopped down on the bar, in a to go bag. At this point there were three tables seated. I took my bag, paid my bill and left. Forgot my phone in my moment of disgust. Went back in to get it and they said, you forgot your salad. No, Yall forgot it and were not going to even bring it to me. I am a commercial kitchen mechanic, have been for decades. Have spent tens of thousands of dollars here, live one mile away. I always reccomend this place. Never again. I will never go back. Im sure the food was as good as ever but can't even finish it. Bad taste in my mouth. Goodbye.

I don't know why I haven't visited Villa before! They make all their pasta, meatballs and sausage from scratch and have been in the Arvada neighborhood since 1960! As soon as I walked in, the owner got me a table and made me feel right at home. His wife walked around, serving tables and spoke to the patrons like she had known them for years (she probably did!). The atmosphere was welcoming and reminded me of one of those old-world, original Italian restaurants. The food was top-notch, the service was outstanding and I felt like a king! I wish every neighborhood had a place like this!

The food here is really good. I had the lasagna - it's a huge portion (huge), the sauce is reminiscent of the sauce we had in Italy, and it was even better the next day as leftovers. The salad it came with was a good portion size too, and tasty. Yum. My family had pepperoni pizza, and I thought it was good, but my husband said it was light on the cheese. Next time we'll order extra cheese and I bet it will be a hit. Pizza dough was great. The service was simultaneously among the best I've ever had at a restaurant, and frustratingly slow. It took about an hour from being seated to having food come out, which is rough with two small children. We didn't expect it to take that long so the kids were up later than usual and growing hungrier by the minute. Our server said the kitchen got slammed, and it was indeed a busy night; it looked like they were short staffed, with only two servers for the whole place (it looked like, I'm not sure). I understand being busy, but I've been to a lot of busy restaurants and this felt like a much longer wait for food than any I've been to. I eventually asked for bread to come out before the meal, for our kids. (The bread was delicious). I guess I'd recommend that the servers offer bread or something to tide customers over if food is taking longer than usual. On the other hand, we were seated by a guy who was extremely personable and very proud of the restaurant, offered crackers for the kids so they wouldn't be too hungry while they waited, and our server was extremely warm and genuine. All the employees we interacted with were stellar: it just felt like a proud, local small business who truly appreciates their customers and likes chatting with them. At one point my daughter complained about a toothache; our server overheard her say that and got her a bag of ice. What! I don't think I've ever had someone at a restaurant go above and beyond like that.

We will go back again because we love local restaurants (Arvada doesn't have enough good ones!), the staff are good people that we'd like to support, and the food was really really good. I just hope the service is...

Had the Rudest waitress and the owner was just as rude! There were 2 waitresses that night working. One of the waitresses saw me and my 2 lady friends up front waiting and she looked away and went off somewhere else- we waited up-front 15-20 minutes and then finally the waitress comes back and tells us theres a seat in the back. Then we wait another 10-15 minutes and we have no menus-no waters-nothing- so I go up to the bar and ask the waitress for 3 menus and she said she will bring them in a minute- so I said we've been waiting a while and she got snotty with me and said she had all these other tables to wait on-then I just walk away because of her rudeness, then about 10 minutes later she brings them and I grabbed it from her and she thought I grabbed the menu too fast and she raised her voice at me and said"Excuse me"- my 2 lady friends and I looked stunned cuz we didn't get what went wrong and so at that point I ask for a manager- the manager is gone so we decide to walk out and then I called the manager the very next day and actually spoke with the owner- it turns out that the rude waitress is the owners sister and while I was explaining what had happened he cuts me off and gets so defensive of his sister and denies that she could ever do anything like that and he hangs up on me.Wow- rudest service I ever got! never going back! The waitress too was rude to some people in front of our table as well because I overheard her getting argumentive with them and telling them she has a lot of...
