Consistently Great Food, Surprisingly Excellent Service The food was exactly what I’ve come to expect from MOD Pizza. Consistent and good. But what really stood out at this location was the staff.
Despite being a young crew, the team was genuinely friendly, confident in their roles, and showed a clear understanding of customer service. From the moment I walked in, I noticed the difference.
A young man greeted me, and it wasn’t the usual halfhearted welcome you get at every retail and food joint where someone shouts across the room with their eyes pointed to floor or the passive aggressive "we close in 30 minutes." That's code for welcome in, now get out!
He stopped what he was doing, looked me in the eye, and welcomed me clearly and respectfully. He was ready to help without any hesitation.
Several young women were working behind the counter and in the dining area, and each one acknowledged me with eye contact and a smile. That kind of attentiveness is rare.
You know how sometimes in a store you make too much eye contact with a random person and then they come up to you and ask where sports apparel is? It was that kind of energy but in a positive and helpful way. Not the, you wore a blue shirt to Best Buy energy and a customer has walked the floor twice until they came upon you.
When my pizza was ready, I expected my name to be called and to go pick it up myself. Instead, the person who made it brought it to my table. She didn’t just set it down and walk away. She stayed and asked if I needed any sauces or anything else. That was a nice touch.
McDos should take note, they bring your food when you dine in (so they can focus on the drive-thru and the lines stay short) the server drops your food at your table and can't get out of there fast enough. You're trying to tell them they forgot the hot mustard and you end up standing at the counter for 3 mins until someone notices you.
Throughout my visit at MOD Pizza, I noticed how attentive the staff was. As soon as someone left a table, it was cleaned immediately. They paid attention without being overbearing and created a smooth and comfortable experience for everyone coming in and out.
Even if they do not receive tips on every order, this team is learning the kind of customer service that builds strong work habits and great guest experiences. They are doing a great job.
However, I'm on a diet now so I probably...
Read moreThese guys are amazing. The first time I went was with a coupon for a free pizza. Alicia helped me and made my experience so great I had to return. The pizza was phenomenal and the staff was wonderful as well. Today was my second visit. I was the one that messed up...I didn't realize that forgot to tell them to leave off the blue cheese (yuck for me!). I got home and quickly realized my mistake after the first bite. I took it back with the intention of buying another pizza (after all, it was my mistake) but the employees remembered me and took care of me! They asked about my day and made a rough day 1000x brighter. Unfortunately I didn't get the names of your wonderful employees that helped me, but they were working the line at 6pm on 10/7. The quality of food is fantastic, but your staff has made me a forever customer. As a server I appreciate quality service, and you guys knocked it out of the park. Thank you to your whole staff! For those that haven't tried here, DO IT and hook them up with a nice tip....
Read moreI made the mistake of getting six mini pizzas for my kids and I after a few years of swearing it off because we were regularly getting poor quality food. I assumed after a couple of years it might be worth trying again after a suggestion from one child. Again, what a mistake. I had a whole slice without any toppings, my daughter didn't have sauce which she ordered, another didn't have pineapple which is all he truly wanted, and not one person was satisfied. I called to get a refund for the three worst ones, trying to give the benefit of the doubt, but I suppose that was my mistake also. I was told it would take 7-10 days to post to my account, amazing how quick money comes out but can't go back in, I digress... I will never return to this establishment. For about the same amount that I paid for mini trash pies, I could have gotten a couple pizzas from Pizza Alley off 32nd and Lowell...at least that pizza is worth the cost and drive, this was just...trash. Do better...
