Unfriendly service and no wifi? I used to love Red Silo, but my experience today has me seriously reconsidering not patronizing the location again. Upon my arrival there was no line and two persons working behind the bar. It took them almost two minutes before acknowledging me. I understand if they were working to fill orders, but a lack of "Hi" "Good Morning" or " We'll be right with you" is pretty unacceptable since that's an easy thing you can do.
After placing my order and spending $13, I proceeded to sit down and pull out my laptop for a little morning work. I quickly found out that wifi was not available. Not because it was down because of technical difficulties. It was just not available because it was the mornings. The business made the decision to only make it available in the afternoons. This decision shocks me. Coffee shops and internet go hand in hand. There is no sign that indicates this anywhere, especially before being able to make a purchase. It feels like a bait and switch.
Needless to say I think management should really reevaluate its policies and processes. It's unacceptable today to create a negative experience for your guests. You can have a wonderful product, which the coffee is good I'll give them that, but consumers are also purchasing an experience which Red Silo has...

Read moreReally loved the build out of this space. However as some one that loves specialty coffee and seeing their menu I was expecting a bit more. The coffee quality is at or slightly below that of Starbucks. My capp was served at 12oz, a capp should be 6oz and when I requested soy milk instead of whole milk it was served with a standard non barista edition soy. Which when steamed because it can't handle the high temps and curdled like expired milk. Being a new shop I'll give them a pass on this as they could be working out distribution with their milk supplier and had to buy something off the grocery store shelf to get them by. The espresso tasted like the coffee had tipped during the roasting process. Which you could taste the roast but the coffee was very under developed and flat. You can get a nicer darker roast that has a good coco body to it when developed properly, but this coffee was very flat and the roasty or ashy flavor predominated. Really a great space and great customer service but for having all the externals of a 3rd wave specialty shop the coffee still needs a lot of work. That's why I'm giving...
