the fried rice was really good but I definitely wouldn’t die for the sesame chicken like another person here said.. was pretty disappointed with it— it just didn’t have much flavor, in my opinion.
my biggest reason for three stars is that I ordered a sesame chicken entree and asked them to sub the regular fried rice for combination fried rice. I said I didn’t care if there was a slight up-charge, as I figured there would be one. I even double checked that our waitress was on the same page and she said yes, combo instead of regular. I thought we were good. well our food comes out and she brings me a huuuuge plate of combo fried rice and I was like wow, this is the serving size?! awesome! (it was our first time here so we didn’t know what to expect). she also brings the chicken and veggies on a separate plate, as well as my partner’s food which only had a very small amount of regular fried rice but she got the combo plate which also has noodles, so I didn’t think much of it. well now i’m asking for the bill and it comes out to about $52. ummm… what? they served and charged me for an entire entree size of combo fried rice instead of just the substitution. so now i’m paying for a whole order of combo fried rice AND a whole entree which I didn’t even get the regular rice for!!
I don’t understand how this miscommunication happened. the waitress and I seemed to be on the same page. I asked TWICE to make sure. I don’t know why anyone would think I wanted to pay for a whole entree deal and not get any rice but then order more rice on the side?? they could have at least given me the regular fried rice as well with my chicken.
it’s close and the food was good enough to go back and try again at some point and maybe then i’ll give more stars if it’s deserving, but I did not intend on spending over $60 after a tip (which yes, of course I still tipped, i’m not a jerk) at this place last night. it was just kind of off-putting and frustrating because I truly don’t know how I could have better explained my order to make it come...
Read moreI don't leave bad reviews but the poor service I received tonight needs to be posted. I ordered delivery tonight and my order of pork fried rice was white rice. I called and Akis said I received someone elses order and he would deliver a new pork fried rice promptly. The delivery driver shows up in 15 minutes. He hands me a small bag with 4 packets of soy sauce. He said the owner said it just needed soy sauce. I called back to say please make me a new order of pork fried rice and please make make it according to recipe. The owner was abrupt and rude and said all it needed was a little flavoring. I asked to speak to Akis again and she put the phone down. After 15 minutes of waiting, I hung up and called back. Again the owner answered and was rude. She finally got Akis back on the phone and he said he would deliver a new pork fried rice as promised. Forty minutes later, I received the correct pork fried rice. Very poor service and the crispy duck was dry! I do have to point out that Akis was polite and professional. The owner is very lucky to have an employee like him! I still...
Read moreWe ordered dinner tonight from this restaurant. We had been there before and liked the food. I had to make four phone calls and we never had any food delivered. The first phone call after one hour I was told that it was on its way. The second phone call after one hour and 45 minutes I was told they were very busy with no apologies. The third phone call at five minutes until nine before they closed I was hung up on. The fourth phone call the manager got on the phone and said he personally delivered it to my door. When I replied I had no food he yelled and called me a liar. When I tried to say that possibly it was to the wrong address he once again called me a liar. No food, horrible customer service, incompetence and I will never go there again. If you value your money don’t go there.
