Finn Thai Ashburn — Restaurant in Ashburn

This was probably one of the most off putting experiences I’ve gotten from a restaurant in along time. My girlfriend and I upon walking in was getting stared at from workers and customers alike, we then get seated. The host probably walks by our table 10 times or so just pacing back and forth, while taking breaks sitting at the bar with our server as they’re both continuing to just stare at us. Even the gentlemen behind the bar making the sushi. One of the chefs even comes out from the kitchen and just stares at us. Fast forward, I get my sushi and the rice was just weird and mushy like it is when you buy it from grocery stores which was super disappointing, our server doesn’t check on us even once, and was just sitting at the bar eating and talking with the host. Authentic Thai restaurant! The food and service are truly amazing! Green Curry, duck, calamari, pork pot stickers, kids menu options and steak were all delicious!

Interior design is new, colorful, unique and authentic! Booths and tables with booths on one side and chairs on the other side. Book shelves with books up high really close to the ceiling.

Tried to speak to all employees since we were the first to arrive for dinner. The cook seem like he didn't speak English. When we arrived, someone was on a step ladder near the door inside doing some interior design installation or modification. I asked our lady server who was the owner, she told me that the owner was already back in Thailand and that the owner was only here for 2 or 3 months.

Finn Thai is absolutely spotless, with beautifully set tables that make a great first impression. The atmosphere is cozy and relaxing, making it the perfect place to sit back and enjoy a meal. The staff were incredibly friendly, which made the experience even better.

The Thai tea and Thai coffee were perfectly balanced and exactly to my taste. The som tam had that familiar flavor you expect but with an extra twist that made it stand out — one of the best I’ve ever had. The calamari was extra crispy and a must-try!

All the dishes were seasoned just right — not too strong, not too bland — and full of flavor. I can confidently say this is the best Thai restaurant in the area. I will definitely be coming back...
