The first time we tried this place, we had a good experience. The young waitress that served us was very sweet and smiled often. We had no complaints. So, we decided to go back and try it again tonight. I brought my 3 kids with me to eat in at the restaurant. When we went in, the older lady (maybe the owner) behind the counter did not smile and did not greet us. I thought...OK, not very friendly, but no big deal...I just told her that we needed a table for four, so she motioned for us to take the table closest to the door. I asked if it was OK that we sit at another table, not so close to the door. Still unsmiling, she pointed to a table next to a beverage fridge. So, we sat down at the table and waited for someone to bring us menus. It took her awhile to bring us the menus given that it was practically empty with only 1 other couple in the restaurant...but OK, we can be patient. In the meantime, my daughter wanted to pick out a drink from the beverage fridge (right next to our table), so I told her to go ahead and take a look. She was looking inside the fridge when the older lady finally decided to come out from behind her counter and bring us menus. But when she got next to our table, she just stood there and kept looking at my daughter as if she was doing something wrong, making her feel uncomfortable. I saw this and told my daughter that it was OK, just continue to look for a drink. But the older lady continued to look at her as if it was not OK for her to open the fridge to get a drink. I almost asked her if there was a problem because it was so awkward. Then finally, she places the menus on our table and walks away. We felt so unwelcomed and like we were bothering her. We went out to eat to have a nice dinner, but the older lady was just so unpleasant. So, I decided to take my kids and leave. We will never be back. Rarely do I ever feel the need to leave before even ordering, but this time, I just could not stay. We can take our business elsewhere...and we did and had a lovely dinner at another local restaurant with...
Read moreMy friend and I stopped in for lunch. We’re both huge fans of Korean food and love trying new spots.
We started with the dumplings and both ordered the beef gom tang ramen. The dumplings were solid. The sweet dipping sauce was nice. For the ramen, we received a small side of kimchi to share. I was wondering where the banchan was, it didn’t exist. The flavor was pretty good. My issue was that the portion was very small for the cost. We had two small slices of beef.
The service was good. Server was nice. The ambiance was fine. Place was clean but didn’t have any charm.
I’m a huge fan of Korean food. I was really happy to see another one in Ashburn. Unfortunately, unless they work on their portions, it’s not worth the price tag. Luckily honeypig opened up close by,...
Read moreGreat food. Fast food style interior so not a place to plan for a romantic dinner. Felt more like a typical Chinese restaurant dine in experience from an ambiance standpoint but I was picking up carry out so mattered not to me. The food was on point with healthy serving size and value for price point. Good flavor but nothing that might stand out as unique for their brand. Def with Overall the food is good. However, the portions are very small for the price. There are no small plates either before the meal either. Although I live walking distance, I'd much rather drive a bit to go to another...
