Hands down THE BEST Mexican Food Truck I've been to in Asheville! If I could rate it 10/10 I would in a heart beat! The food was juicy and flavorful! I ordered a Cheese Papusa which came with a cabbage salad which was AMAZING! A Tamale Rojo which had big chunks of tender meat! 2 beef tacos, 1 chicken taco, and 1 carnitas taco, which me and my sign. Other devoured (we liked the chicken and carnitas the best). I was surprised because my boyfriend is picky and usually wouldn't have tried the cabbage salad but he loved it and put it with everything we ordered! The only thing that wasn't the best was the price, it came out to be 25.50 for 4 tacos,a papusa, and Tamale. But honestly the quality of the food was SO SUPERB, I don't care and I'll go over and over again! Another thing that I found pretty cool was the different variety of foods they had from authentic Mexican food to American food (things like bratwurst, hamburgers,fries) they even had different types of frozen lemondes! So I really wanted to try this place after seeing the 5 stars reviews. I got the Peruvian chicken with rice and beans. When I got home to eat it the chicken was still pink and oozing blood, the rice tasted awful and the beans were freezer burned and had a weird taste. I was starving so I baked the chicken in the oven for 30 min, threw away the sides, and ended up making my own rice and beans. I did not want food poisoning. No thank you! However, I shouldn’t have to do all of this after spending $18 for “homemade” food. If I decide to go back I might just try the tacos instead. KISS. Great Chicken! I eat a lot and the half chicken meal is perfect size for me. This chicken is always perfectly seasoned and rice and beans are very good too! As a local in the neighborhood I have seen huge improvements since the food truck has been moved here from home Depot! The owners are very kind to the neighbors and help keep the neighborhood clean and safe! The dilapidated land and buildings that used to surround the food truck all have been fixed up and cleaned. The neighborhood has improved to the point that I believe the good work of this business has actually increased the value of my home!
