The Plant Bar â West Ashevilleâs Green Retreat
Step through the doors of Asheville Dispensary and youâll find yourself in two worlds: on one end, a CBD emporium, on the other, The Plant Bar â a lush little espresso haven where jungle-style greenery keeps watch over every sip.
I ordered a latte and a feta-goat cheese pastry, both served up by Tara â a star child, Earth goddess of the bar, who makes caffeine feel like a blessing. The pastry was flakey, the latte smooth and balanced. The vibe? Laid-back, modern, eclectic. Think couches and quiet corners, perfect for a good conversation, a small meeting, or simply escaping the noise of the city.
Pros: comfortable seating, a big patio (shade in the morning and, yes, shade on hot days too), and a pastry case that whispers temptations (though youâll probably wish there were more). Cons: too many couches, not enough tables, and sometimes your sweet tooth outpaces their supply.
As I sat, the couple at the next table broke out a deck of Uno cards â the kind of scene that sums it up: chill, spontaneous, community-tinged. Add in the easy parking (West end of West Asheville, plenty of spaces), and youâve got yourself a go-to spot.
The Plant Bar earns its place alongside The Oddâs CafĂ© and Izzyâs Coffee as one of West Ashevilleâs espresso joints worth remembering â a cafĂ© where plants, people, and good coffee all grow...
Read moreHow have I not come here earlier?! What an amazing place with superb atmosphere to chill, work, meet friends, and buy all the CBD products for your health that you can think of from skincare, drinks, tinctures, flower, and more. I am most excited that everything is non-alcoholic! Thank you for providing excellent drinks NA! I started with the tea: Letâs Root. Itâs cleansing, grounding, and healing. All the staff is knowledgeable about the products and Raven was exceptionally helpful and warm. For me, all of the living plants, singing bowl, and great music make me want to come back! They also have super community events! Check out my photos and come in for really creative drinks, including boba...
Read moreSo there's a sign in the cafe that offers rewards for five star reviews. FYI, the FTC considers paying for reviews a form of consumer fraud. So the vibe is good enough, but I ordered an Americano, and there was no half and half available on the counter along with the stirrers and such. When I asked for some, the barista found some whole milk (good enough) and then poured a stingy teaspoon in. I respectfully indicated I wanted more (within a normal expected range for dairy in a coffee), and the response was curt as if I was doing something selfish or unexpected. YMMV but it seems like a "5 Star" coffee shop would have the normal coffee stand fixings ready and freely available. The coffee...
