My wife and I had an absolutely amazing experience at Vue 1913.
We started with drinks in the President’s lounge. The bartender, Jodi, made us a couple great margaritas. Despite a nice size crowd and her being the only bartender, drinks came fast and were made perfectly. We enjoyed some picturesque views while we waited for our table. We received a text message 10 minutes before our reservation letting us know our table was ready.
At the table we were served by Amy with the assistance of Tucker. They were helpful in answering questions about the menu as well as providing their recommendations. We started with deviled eggs with caviar - one of the best bites of the night. From there, the restaurant manager, Adam, brought us an off the menu dish - a scallop with a pesto sauce made from locally foraged ingredients. Again, another great bite. The menu is filled with so many options we had to keep ordering. Before our entree we had the grilled mozzarella, Arancini and lobster bisque. All three dishes were home runs. I particularly appreciated how the arancini were shaped like mozzarella sticks instead of the typical round shape - little details like this differentiate establishments such as Vue 1913 from your standard fare. By the time the entrees came we probably were already full but we preserved! My wife ordered the Filet with a rosemary-balsamic reduction and I had the Elk. My wife commented that the filet was one of the best she ever had. From my view it was cooked absolutely perfectly med rare end to end. I thought about stealing a bite but thought my wife might put a fork through my hand if I dared such a thing! I had never had elk before but it was amazing. Perfectly cooked, each bite full of flavor complimented by the Demi and a cardamom powder (not exactly sure what it was but when it mixed with the sauce it was magical). Lastly, we had to get some dessert (despite our bodies begging us to stop eating!!!!). My wife chose a chocolate cake and I had a coffee mousse type desert with an espresso martini. Like all the courses before, these dishes were perfectly designed and executed.
All in all, this was one of the best meals I’ve ever had. I regularly frequent high end steakhouses and restaurants and Vue 1913 is firmly among the best. I cannot wait to get back here!!!
Once again I want to shout out to Adam, Amy, Tucker, and Jodi as each one of them made us feel right at home!!! I hope management reads this review and heaps praise on them because they all deserve it!! I almost feel as if I need to leave a second review because they deserve 10 stars, not only 5.

Read moreDinner at the view was the best culinary experience my mother and I have ever had! The service was impeccable, and the food was beyond amazing. My Mother has many complicated allergies, where usually many sauces and marinades would prevent her from eating more than a plain meal, as she is allergic to the ingredients in most sauces and marinades. The chef came to our table and spoke to my mother about her allergies, and upon bringing our food, my mother was pleasantly surprised how well the food was prepared and presented. The Chef created her " an absolutely delectable" dish that not only met her restrictions but also the presentation and exquisiteness you would expect from such an upscale restaurant, making this a very special dining experience. We started with the WNC Petite Greens and the Marinated Beets. These seemingly simple starters were anything but. Each individual ingredient was prepared to perfection and a perfect start to our meal. My Mother's main course was the seared tuna featuring her "absolutely delectable "sauce that the chef made specially for her, and my main was the Elk Tenderloin. The elk tenderloin was the most tender, lean and delicious piece of meat I've ever had in my life! The meat had no gamingness, and was well paired with a fennel demi glaze, celery root puree and cardamon streusel. I was amazed how much I loved the celery root puree I have no clue how it was prepared and with what seasonings, but I could eat that every day of my life. Every bite of our meals were so delicious that it made you eat slower just to enjoy it longer. I cannot recommend this restaurant enough.
2 starters, 2 mains, one drink, and 20% tip was just under $200. I'm usually not one to spend this much on a meal, but it is very well worth the cost.
Vue is extremely allergy friendly, with gluten free and vegan options available. Handicap accessible Note if entering through the parking garage, Vue 1913 is on the far end of the building, and may take 30 minutes to navigate to, although there is a 15 minute grace period on your reservation, it is worth showing up early to take your time and enjoy the views on your walk to View 1913 or shop along the way, as most of the retail shops close around...
Read moreI’d have liked to have given this restaurant a higher review. The waitress was perfect. The service she provided was the only highlight, especially for an establishment that boasts a AAA diamond rating (online it says 3 diamond, at the restaurant it says 4- either way we were disappointed). The host greeted us, he was disorganized and looked like a slob- like a failed mob flunky from NJ who’s cousin got him a job. His assistant was just as much of a mess. Her uniform was disheveled and didn’t fit. We were seated, and the water and bread service was served by a young lady who was so unfriendly (not responding to “thank you’s”) it was borderline rude. She refilled water and bread throughout the meal without a smile or a comment. A meal should have the flow of a comfortable conversation with smooth breaks. The first course was served a tad late. The second course was served on time. The third course was served so unbelievably late I was beginning to wonder if we should reserve a room and expect to spend the night. The waitress was wonderful, but she shouldn’t be in a position to hover. I noticed other tables were not getting food either. There was no amuse bouche, palette cleanser, just more bread and alcohol to keep us distracted from the fact that after 45 minutes our third course was missing. For the prices and status they claim, they should have their act together. I appreciate fine dining with a smart/casual dress requirement, but that doesn’t mean the staff should look like slobs, and treat the clientele like they are at a 3rd rate diner but serve caviar? Ridiculous. There are better restaurants. Even their numerous bars have it together better than Vue. I promise this is an experience you can skip. Save your...
