Rita's Italian Ice & Frozen Custard — Restaurant in Aston Township

Need answers after patronizing this business I sat in my car to eat my water, ice in the handicap spot that’s in front of Rita’s not even 5 min of eating a police officer came up to my window and asked me do I have a plaque in which I did it just wasn’t sitting up straight . He said that someone called the cops and said I was illegally parked in which I can only surmise that it had to be one of the Rita’s employees. Why would y'all have to call the cops after I just got done getting my water ice to sit in my car? It was never that serious when you put someones life in danger especially in this type of climate, were racism and police brutality exist and you make a frivolous call like that even the officer was annoyed , but to even have him approach me and cause a scene never again . Will not be spending my dollars here anymore going forward. I live in this community with my children and we come here often but never again . Rita's Water Ice Aston: We stopped at Rita's yesterday (one of their first days open for the season) and although I was a little disappointed with the smaller selection at first (I usually get strawberry, blue raspberry, or grape and they didn't have any of these flavors available), i ended trying chocolate covered strawberry water ice and it was quite delish!!! The line was quick, service was friendly, and we will definitely be back as the weather gets warmer!
