Taste Budz Cafe — Restaurant in Aston Township

I ordered the cinnamon-pear pancakes but she accidentally gave me the cinnamon swirl pancakes. It was my first time here and I didn't know there were two different pancakes on the menu. I told her I was ordering from the chalkboard where the specials were, $6.95 for a short stack. So they wound up giving me a free order of the pancakes! She said I could take them home and they wound up remaking my cinnamon-pear pancakes because he had to put the pears inside of it. I told her all I needed was the pairs on the side so I could put the compote on the top, but she insisted they just remake it for me!! Very nice here! Any other place or diner would've taken the dish back & reused them. My fiance got the Taste Budz Special, which is a combo meal with the eggs, potatoes, and either french toast or pancakes, w/ an order of toast & juice, that came w/ it for $10.95. He absolutely loved it! My pancakes were excellent!! A little sugary, sweet, & sticky with the sauce on it but they were very good. I will get the sauce on the side next time! I also got the pork roll. They cut it a little thick so it looked like Canadian bacon, but it was very good. Definitely will be coming back again!! It was our first time here & we only waited a couple of minutes. They flip the tables fast here so don't let the line fool you! I've been coming here for over 8 years, nothing but good things to say until the recent past year. Food is still very good, but the service is absolutely disgusting. The 2 hostess' (1 young one, 1 older one) are extremely rude. Never once have they said "hello/thank you/goodbye" during our prior interactions. The young one is constantly on her phone, leaning over the counter when we're waiting there for her to take our order. At this point, I was fed up, but not enough to stop me from coming in. Final straw was today. I walked in with my partner and made eye contact with them both as they were bent over the counter doing absolutely nothing. As we entered the restaurant the older one immediately goes to a different table and the younger one scurried to the back laughing, each of them trying to get in front of one another to avoid serving us. Mind you there was about 2 tables sat down and no other person inside the restaurant, it was not busy. Food is still great but neither I nor my friends will ever come back here again after today's interaction. If I were the owner, i'd pay closer attention to the cameras to see how their restaurant is being...

My husband and I made a visit here after our doctors appointment before we took hour 2 hourride home to begin when I walked in the employees were standing around doing NOTHING. I then went to pick up the food from the cashier and I asked her if everything was in the bag such as syrup and utensils i guess the turkey bacon she was eating was more important. The employee stated yes, I get in the car there's no syrup or fork and knife for my husband's food so I go back in an the rude lady at the register says there's one in the bag, I assure her it's not and that I can bring the food back in if she would like she replies to me I AM NOT GONNA ARGUE WITH YOU she then grabs a fork and knife wirh her bare hands after she shas been touching money and eating bacon.
