Love Mr. Pickels sandwiches and their especially kind, friendly smiley employee Joel at the Atascadero location. He is so happy, and helpful. What a great face and smile representing Mr. Pickle’s. We were working up in Paso Robles recently and I went to get sandwiches and was so pleased to find the new Mr. Pickle’s near by. Upon entering I was NOT greeted by the loud chime of “Welcome In”, but I was happily surprised to see that familiar smile and kind words from who else but Joel. I teased him about what happened to the Welcome in chime, he responded that they were new employees still in training. Before I left they had begun to start chiming “Welcom In” to new customers. I ordered online and paid then I went in to pick it up nobody said anything to me there was food all over behind the counter like it was gross and then on top of that a guy finally came that was back there cutting the meat just to you know cut the meat in there and then everybody that was there got their order and left and then it’s not like there was like a line of orders ahead of me but I got that guy that was cutting the meat came out and said have you been waited on I said no and he goes well you’re 15 minutes early and I’m thinking well I would understand that if they were you know plot doing orders but it would’ve been faster for me just a walk in do the order then because everybody left except me. Second time I've been to a Mr. Pickles in a long time and I need to come more often. The app ordering was seamless, the store was clean and friendly, and the sandwich was really good. My chicken ranch sub was a savory, rich, creamy mess that I knew it would be, although in the future I may go for a softer bread so toppings don't get squeezed out while I bite through the crusty Dutch crunch. With the chips and a drink is what everything I wanted in a treat lunch and they even toss in a cookie (I don't recall seeing this on the combo description, but there was a cookie, it was yummy =P).
