I sent the following message to Popeye's customer service: 05/20/2019 To: Popeyes customer service/relations We tried Popeye’s (130 McClung Rd, Athens, GA 30601) for the first time several months ago.  I was very excited about the chicken livers and really enjoyed them.  They were very fresh and perfectly prepared. The staff was nice and the facilities were clean and well maintained.  Our second visit was not so pleasant. The service was slower and food was not as well prepared- Specifically, the liver was not as fresh.  In addition, the dining room had not been swept and most of the tables were dirty. We accepted that this could be an anomaly. Our third visit was 5/19/2019 and I wish we had not bothered.  Here is what we experienced: The driveway has a huge hole in the front entrance that I actually noticed at least a month ago.  How has this not been repaired? One guest questioned why she was given six small side orders in place of two large and the staff acted as if she had the problem.  In fact, the cashier actually stated to us, “I don’t know what the problem is.  It’s the same amount of food.” She stated this a few moments after stating, “I’m about to walk out.” The Dining room was littered with used napkins, food scraps and plastic ware. My family and I lucked out and got the ONLY “clean” table in the dining area- still surrounded by the clutter mentioned above. My chicken livers looked dry and all the breading was crumbled off. The other food was mediocre at best. We watched other guests cleaning their own tables as they sat. As we disposed of our used plates and cups, I almost fell over two rugs that were rolled up and stored under a high chair near the area.  The rugs protruded about two feet into the walking space. I spent 15 years cooking professionally earlier in my life and I cannot imagine accepting this as my work environment or serving anyone in these conditions.  My family and I had a bad experience but watching other members of our community subjected to this complete disrespect bothered me the most. That entire shopping center is a hub of that side of Athens/ Hull area and Popeye’s has an opportunity to be a positive part of it.  Normally, I just give Google reviews about places but this is special case. I was going to upload all of the photos I took but decided I would contact you directly in hopes that you would step in and correct this situation. I am not doing this for coupons of any sort of compensation.  I am doing this for my community. Please look into this immediately. ______ I received an auto-reply from Popeye's apologizing for lack of meeting my expectations of cleanliness. Blah blah blah... Okay...fine then. I ask you community members of the Hull area to join me in my disdain of Poopeye's 130 McClung Rd's dystopian nightmare of loud blasting happy music paired with rude disgruntled employees, poor food and filth. Boycott them and go to Bo Jangles right next door instead. As you drive by Poopeye's, roll down your window and point while yelling, "Shame on you! Shame on you, Poopeye's! We deserve better!"

First time going to this location. I pulled up and was quite happy to see there was no line. I ordered a five-piece chicken tender with mashed potatoes and an extra biscuit. It came out to over $13. I go 15 minutes away and realize they only gave me three tenders. Talking about someone upset! I wasn't even close to being in town. Called them to let them know what happened. The worker had a slight attitude and said she'll put my name down to have the wholemeal replaced. The replacement meal tasted better. But I was so annoyed with the fact that I had to leave and come back. There was no one there...like literally...so how could this order have been wrong?! If I'm in the area again I "may" give them a second chance but you all know first impressions are lasting impressions.

We’ve never been to Popeyes before. Being our first time visiting a Popeyes, I ordered and was told that there are regular sides and premium sides. I never saw that on the menu. The woman taking the order had an attitude with me. Even at the window, when I requested a slight change in order, they didn’t seem happy. Someone in the kitchen yelled about it. The one employee there who seemed nice shut the window so we couldn’t hear the fussing. Thankfully, when we got home with the food, it was good. If you’re looking to eat Popeyes, maybe try one of the other locations. Unless all Popeyes locations treat customers with the same abrupt attitude as this one. We ordered the 14 piece tenders, large Mac ‘n cheese, and large fry. The total was $36.06

I went to the drive through and asked for 3 piece tenders and a small mashed potato with no drink. The guy/girl at the window said it’s the combo. So I said no I want the tenders and the mashed potatoes I don’t want a drink. Then he said it’s gonna be the same price regardless so you might as well get the drink. So then I said like I said I don’t want the drink order this all the time. She said ok whatever it’s your money ma’am! I said very well it is it done matter what I get it’s just $10 you feel me? So I pulled it the window straight attitude she took the payment and when she handed me my food I said thank you and she closed the window . Manager was standing right behind her . Let me tell you something the customer service now days is really disappointing. How can you get mad if I don’t want a drink with my food? But not like she said it was $1 less but let her tell it it was the same . She or he because I couldn’t tell if she was a man or woman so that’s why I’m saying what I’m saying . Attitude was very disgusting and needs more training for sure. And also needs to be taught we are paying and can order however and whatever we want . I can’t believe management allows things like this to happen and to just stand there and say nothing . Unprofessional...

This location is the WORST Popeyes ever. They have screwed up my last 4 visits (missing items, wrong food, etc etc) After receiving assurances last Month from a customer service representative that things would improve (and no, I did not accept their free food bribe), today I went to order a chicken wing combo (spicy) and was told they don’t have spicy wings. I said I would wait. (That’s typical of this location). She told me no, they wouldn’t have any spicy wings available today. Knowing that they use larger wings for the combo, I asked if I could get a regular 2 piece combo, spicy, breast and wing. No such luck. THIS WAS AT NOON! This location is a disgrace to the Popeyes brand - it’s been this way for a year, and despite my outreach to their customer service, nothing has changed - they should close this location down. They’re not having a bad day - it’s a bad year! I’ve seen a lot of other people like myself just drive off after waiting in an interminable line - the owners appear to be oblivious to their lousy operation. I’m sure they’re probably blaming Covid, but it’s really the lousy management and ownership oversight that would allow this to go on...
