I went to Starbucks today absolutely craving an old favorite of mine - a grande nitro with 4 pumps of peppermint and sweet cream. I’m a former daily Starbie who now only goes ~3x/year and for that one thing - it’s a HUGE treat for me now, and especially today, following a particularly hard surgery recovery in a string of years-long medical trauma. I was told the nitro and cold brew machines were out when I was in drive-thru, but was told to come in as last time I came through they were also out. I believe they were in the process of changing them, but that doesn’t matter - the reason I tell you all of the above is that a very sweet, kind employee named Josie was able to take care of my order and give me my nitro today. It seems like such a silly thing - it’s just a coffee! However, with everything going on with me, such a genuine, good-hearted interaction can mean the world to someone else. You never know what someone is going through and I have no doubt that someone like that on your team is making differences in everyone’s...
Read moreThis particular location was out of several ingredients to make the drinks we originally came in for. The young man taking our ordered was nice enough to tell us that, but our app offered us extra rewards when we ordered particular drinks and then none of those drinks were available. 😖 Also, there was a second employee there doing something (so yes, he was keeping busy) but it appeared that whatever he was doing was a task that could be interrupted to help make our 4 drinks and the customer's behind us. He just kept on his way.
One drink in my order was made incorrectly, and I saw them realize it (I'd ask for something to be left out) and in watched them pour it out of the cup, into a new cup, add whipped cream back in and stir it around and keep going. 🤦🏻♀️
Not the $23 experience I'd just paid for. I love ahead of time there was an ingredient shortage but had no idea everything we originally wanted would be unavailable. I hope this gets...
Read moreI love Starbucks, and after moving back to Athens, I was hoping to find a Starbucks location to make it my go to place and did so at this location. However, I’ve been back two years and in those two years I’ve seen the customer service of this place go downhill. I don’t know what it is but the new staff is very rude, except for the older lady and another girl. Having worked in the food industry and having to serve 400+ customers on one shift alone, I know it can get frustrating, but one must never lose that customer service trait, otherwise your bitterness takes over and quality goes out the window. While I didn’t appreciate one of the male baristas throwing my food (and I’m being literal here) I understand that it was probably shift change so i can let that one go. I truly hope they take into consideration their customers reviews and better their customer service and food quality. Best...
