Quoted me $200 to fix my Xbox. Told me I could join the Asurion home plus for $29.99 for one month and then bring my Xbox in and theyâd fix it for $99. I said no thank you, I didnât want to wait a month to get it fixed. He said you know what? Iâll do it for you right now 29.99 and you pay $99 after itâs fixed. Obviously this is sketchy, so I asked if I could cancel it right after and he said yes and winked at me. I agreed. I called on the way to pick it up to cancel and the guy told me he didnât know how on the phone and Iâd have to talk to a manger when I went in. I went in and the manager told me in order to cancel Iâd have to pay the $250 up front. I told him thatâs not what the guy told me when I got the membership or I wouldnât even have gotten it. He told me I could have the membership two more months and then theyâd let me cancel it. I told him I would pay for the first month but thatâs it. He told me Iâd have to call to cancel it. On the Asurion website it says you can cancel in store before 30 days, or else they have to send you paper work to fill out after. They were probably just trying to get me to wait to make the process very difficult. I called Asurion and they kept asking for information and passwords to my AT&T account that I didnât give them, and they kept transferring me. Clearly a scam company.
The Asurion home plus is 100% a scam and then they wonât let you cancel it! It also seems like they provide an initial price that is lower than when you come to pick it up and pay. I wouldnât recommend coming here unless you are prepared to put up with fraudulent business practices. If you do find yourself in trouble like I did, cancel with your credit card company. Theyâre trying to take advantage of people who are unable to do that and they make you go through lots of headache. The manager wouldnât even look me in the eye when he was talking to me. I forgive you man, but itâs your choice to continue doing this to people when you know...
Read moreI usually don't write reviews, but my experience at uBreakiFix was more aggravating than me actually breaking my phone. I scheduled an appointment online to fix my broken screen on my phone for last Thursday. However, when I showed up, they said they didn't have the part, so they ordered it and said to come back tomorrow. The following day, I return back the store, but apparently they ordered the wrong part! I have a blue phone, but they ordered a black part for some incomprehensible reason. I don't understand why they assumed a black phone because I specifically stated my phone was blue when I made the original appointment. I asked them if they could just use the black part because I was just so frustrated and tired of having to come back so much, but they said they couldn't because they have to return the original back to Samsung. They said they would order the (correct) part and to come back again tomorrow. I ended coming back today, and they finally fixed my phone. The employee apologized for all of the inconvenience (even though he wasn't the same employee who ordered the wrong part), but I wasn't offered any sort of compensation for the 1 hour+ I wasted driving back and forth so many times trying to get my phone fixed. Overall, I don't understand why they couldn't call me before my original appointment to tell me they didn't have the part yet to save me a visit. I also don't understand why/how they ordered the wrong part. If they weren't the only authorized Samsung repair shop in Athens, I honestly would've just gone elsewhere.
TL;DR I don't recommend this place. There's no point in making appointments online because they obviously don't check them. If they have to order a part for you, triple check to make sure they ordered the correct one. Only go here if it's your...

These people required me to come to their store 2 different times and I was without my phone 4 hours on both days. They broke my IPhone screen and didn't tell me. Then they didn't calibrate the phone so Best Buy and Tech Monk, who are the only authorized IPhone dealers in the Athens area, couldn't work on my phone. This company had my phone frozen from any work and acted as though as Apple issue.
I had to take the phone to the Apple Store at the Mall of Georgia where Apple showed me on support tickets, they had broken my phone. Apple recommended I purchase a new phone because they couldn't guarantee if they could repair my phone after what UBreakiFix in Athens already did to my phone.
I understand accidents happen but they should have been honest with me and told me what they did! And they had the nerve to tell me, they were not charging me for their services. I just looked at the Manager and couldn't respond.
8/25/23 After reading the response from the Manager of UBreakIt, Apple's goal wasn't trying to sell me a phone. They showed me all the options and in NO WAY did they push me on a new phone. The service Dept. at Best Buy suggested, UBreakIt had broken my screen and didn't calibrate my phone back so the ticket couldn't be closed out. This resulted in my driving to Atlanta to an Apple Store to get my phone repaired. Everything was recorded on Apple's website, including UBreakIt and all their mistakes. The Apple Store didn't...
